Sony’s Xperia Miro on sale on Carphone Warehouse, starts from free to £150

It was over a month ago that Carphone Warehouse opened the registration page for Sony’s compact handset, the Xperia Miro, in the UK. Since then we’ve seen many Xperia devices, from low- to high-end, introduced at the consumer electronics trade show IFA 2012 in Berlin. If your heart is still set on the Xperia Miro, you can now purchase the phone from the aforementioned retailer.

To the disappointment of some, the Xperia Miro was announced close to two months ago on Sony’s Facebook page. Not that there’s anything wrong with the device, it’s just that fans were hoping for a high-end phone that the company seemed to hint when the teaser went up, instead of getting yet another mid-range offering from the Japanese company. Sony Mobile has been stepping up its marketing efforts in the UK to support the release of its Xperia phones, what with so many different models – coming in all sorts of sizes and shapes – now available in the market. The newest model that Sony has just announced is the Xperia Miro, which the company first teased on its Facebook page. Sony Mobile calls the latest marketing blitz the Xperia Unleashed.
