Sony starts selling unlocked Xperia acro S, miro, tipo and tipo dual in the US

by: AdrianSeptember 22, 2012
The Xperia acro S, miro, tipo and tipo dual each have their selling points and a certain wow factor, but unfortunately they are all only available for sale in unlocked versions. That means you’ll have to scrape together more than just a few pennies to get the phones, although the upside is you won’t tie yourself to a long-term carrier agreement.

Sony Xperia acro S to start selling in August in Taiwan and Russia, other markets to follow soon

by: AdrianJuly 25, 2012

Although it has been unveiled next to the Xperia Go more than a month ago, Sony’s Xperia acro S smartphone hasn’t been released along with its “cousin”, and, until now, it didn’t have an official ETA either.

The ruggedized 4.3-incher has finally got some official availability details, and will launch in Taiwan and Russia sometime in August. The phone’s prices in the two markets will, however, differ markedly– you’ll clearly get the better deal if you live in Asia.

The water and dust-resistant duo stars in two new official video clips, where you’ll be able to take another quick peek at the phone’s sleek designs, but also check out their most important features.

The exact same dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor powering the original Xperia S can be found in the acro S. You also get 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of on-board memory, a [...]

Meet the Sony Xperia Go and Xperia Xperia acro S, the newest members of the Xperia family, that have just been announced by Sony  and will be launched in the third quarter of the year.

The Sony Xperia Go is a 3.5-inch phone of 320 x 480 resolution equiped with the standard Mobile BRAVIA engine to give its display a boost of sharpness. The dual-core 1GHz processor should be enough to provide a lag-free experience on the phone’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread, though it will be upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich. Other specs of the Xperia [...]
