Packing a customized version of Android 3.1 Honeycomb, the Tab 10.1’s 16 GB version will be selling for $499 while the 32GB version will have a price tag of $599 at Best Buy. Engadget have recently announced news that the Samsung Galaxy Tab is set to land with AT&T ‘before December’ this year. This information comes as a rumour borne from a tip off from an internal AT&T leak.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab is an Android 2.2 based tablet hoping to take a slice of some of the iPad market share. The image provided by Engadget confirms that this device will indeed land with AT&T, thanks to the branding on the back of the device.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab has had the root treatment from Germany hackers developers Sera-Apps (in German). This achievement is something that the Android community can become excited about as it makes the Samsung Galaxy Tab one of the most flexible tablets around (well, soon to be around).
