by: Vinny MarinoFebruary 2, 2012

I’ve had the Galaxy Tab 8.9 by Samsung for about a full week now which means I’ve had some time to gather my thoughts and decide how I truly feel  about the device.

With all honesty this tablet is amazing it does very well with anything you throw at it from multitasking to smooth graphics this tablet will do it all. While using the Tab 8.9 I experienced little to no lag regardless of how many tasks I was attempting to accomplish.

This Tablet has a great spec sheet listing a NIVIDIA Tegra 2 1Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, Android 3.1 Honeycomb, Samsung’s Touch  Wiz UX, 6100mAh battery, and a gorgeous 8.9 inch display.

The rear 3 megapixel [...]

How to Install Android 4.0.3 ICS on the Galaxy Tab 8.9

by: Carl ParkerJanuary 4, 2012

Until the Galaxy Tab 8.9 gets an official, stable release of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Galaxy Tab 8.9 users have an option of trying out an unofficial alpha build of Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. A team of coders from XDA Developers has put together a ROM which gives many users a taste of what it would be like to run ICS on their Galaxy Tab 8.9.

Before you get too excited about this preview, there are a few snags that are worth mentioning. This release is quite buggy. Some of the features that don’t work are the camera, 3G, YouTube HD videos, and Google Voice Search. Wi-Fi, however, can be used, as well as GPS and Bluetooth. If you’re willing to [...]

The more, the merrier. Faster and stronger. These seem to be Samsung’s battlecries for its next wave of attacks against its competitors. Proof of that is the bagful of new upcoming Android phones that the Korean electronics company will be unveiling at the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA 2011), an international consumer electronics fair to be held in Berlin this week.
