UK folks: Got a Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note? Trade in your old iPhone 4 – or others – for a free Galaxy Tab 2

by: Bams SadewoAugust 28, 2012
So here’s an interesting offer that Samsung currently has for UK peeps. They figure that since you you’re already sporting a Galaxy S3 and/or Galaxy Note -- or planning to buy either of the two real soon -- you won’t have much use for your older but still working phone. Instead of letting it sit and gather dust, you can trade it in for the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 or 10.1.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 finally goes on sale in the UK

by: Bams SadewoAugust 15, 2012

It’s hard to believe that the sequel to Samsung’s 10-inch Android slate, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, has yet to make it to retail stores in the UK – especially knowing that the heavyweight Galaxy Note 10.1 is about to debut in the coming days. Our slight bewilderment aside, it looks like you can order the former from Carphone Warehouse now.

The electronics retailer is selling the WiFi model of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 for £299.99. Meanwhile, the 3G model is up for grabs for £399.99 – in both cases we’re talking about 16GB versions. They don’t currently have stocks of tablets, so expect shipment to commence only on August 22 at the [...]

Canada finally gets to tab with the official release of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and 10.1

by: Bams SadewoJuly 7, 2012

Having been released in the UK, in the US, and in other parts of the world – Samsung Canada finally announced the availability of the Galaxy 2 Tab for the Canadian market. It’s not too far off from our last report, which stated that the two variants of the Galaxy Tab 2 would hit stores on July 6.

Priced rather affordably by Samsung, the 7-inch and 10.1-inch model will come with 8GB and 16GB internal storage — respectively. These are all the WiFi versions of the Tab 2.

For the uninitiated, here are the specs of the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and 10.1:

Dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor 7.0-inch / 10.1-inch WXGA display with Gorilla Glass 8GB (7.0) – 16GB [...]

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 releasing in the UK tomorrow

by: Ankit BanerjeeJune 21, 2012

With the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 set to release soon, the Galaxy Tab series, with its latest iterations, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 2 7.7 have been relegated to a low-to-mid-range series. Be that as it may, some consumers are more than happy with a dual-core processor device which is enough to meet their basic everyday needs of checking email, surfing the net, video chatting, and watching the occasional movie. Let’s be blunt, that’s all most of us use our tablets for anyway.

Anyone in the UK looking for a mid-range 10″ tablet now has another option available for their consideration: The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1″ will be available [...]

If the idea of getting a phone that can morph into a tablet with an optional keyboard dock seems too much to take, and not to mention too expensive, those in Australia have another Android option in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.
