Samsung is going to unveil the Galaxy S III Mini in a little less than 10 hours at one of their flagship stores in Frankfurt, Germany. We severely doubt that the company is going to tell us something we don’t already know, so in case you haven’t been keeping up with the leaks, here’s what to expect: the Galaxy S III Mini will have a 4 inch 800 x 480 pixel display, a dual core 1 GHz processor from ST-Ericsson, 1 GB of RAM, and a 5 megapixel camera. Design wise, it’s a perfectly scaled down version of the original Galaxy S III that was launched during the first half of the year.
The little brother of the Galaxy S3 will feature a 4-inch AMOLED display with WVGA resolution (800 x 480) resolution. On the inside, the Galaxy S3 Mini GT-I8190 will be powered by a dual-core STE U8420 chip presumably clocked at 1GHz
The Galaxy S3 mini rumors have been floating around the interwebs for quite a while now, although Samsung never confirmed anything. However, more and more reports indicated that the company will unveil the 4-inch Galaxy S3 version during a special event scheduled for October 11 in Germany.
The Galaxy Music is a 3 inch smartphone with a display that pushes 320 x 240 pixels. Not really something for us hardcore geeks, but hey, the more people using Android, the better. It has quadband GSM/EDGE support and dualband (900/2100 MHz) 3G. There’s WiFi onboard, Bluetooth, and all the other things you’d expect a modern smartphone to have. There’s even a 3 megapixel camera and an integrated FM antenna. What makes this phone special is that it has two front facing speakers that should pump out some ridiculously loud music.
When it comes to smartphone screen size, there seems to be a few different camps. Some of us belong to the “bigger is better” faction, others believe the sweetspot is somewhere between 4.1-inches and a 4.9-inches. Then there are those that want 4-inch and smaller designs.
Samsung is going to hold an event in Germany next Thursday (October 11th). This isn’t news, last week we reported that the South Korean handset maker was sending out invitations via email to members of the German press. Now Samsung is being a little bit more playful though.
Samsung has just released two high-end new Android devices, the Galaxy S3 smartphone and the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, and it’s getting ready to unveil the Galaxy Note 2 at IFA 2012. But the company is also working on other devices rumored to be launched this year, and we have details on two interestingly-named ones, the Galaxy S3 Mini and the Galaxy S2 Plus. Sam Mobile reports that these two devices are scheduled to hit in late 2012, but we’re not shown any proof that would document their existence. Furthermore, the publication suggests that the Galaxy S3 Mini would cost…
