Samsung Galaxy S II Release Date for UK: May 1st!

Great news Android phone fans! One of this years hottest phones, the Samsung Galaxy S II is set to be released on May 1st in the UK.

Arguably one of 2011’s Android Superphones, the Samsung Galaxy S II is packing 1080p video recording, 1GB of RAM, and a 4.27-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, which we can assure you, is probably the best one around. Plus, it’s got an excellent 1.2Ghz dual-core processor to boot.

Samsung has told us that the Galaxy S II will be available on-contract all the major UK networks as well as unlocked from British retailers as of May 1st. The price on has also dropped by £100 to £499.99, SIM free, which is a lot better then [...]

Samsung Galaxy S II Clears FCC, Release Dates Confirmed for Europe

Arguably one of the most impressive phones set to launch this year, the beautifully appointed Samsung Galaxy S II – is really the flagship of flagship phones. With its mesmerizing Super-AMOLED Display, Dual Core processor, 1GB of RAM, beautiful and incredibly svelte form factor, it is sure to be one of the must-have dual core Android phones of 2011.

Back in late March, the Samsung Galaxy S II was put through the gauntlet of testing the FCC mandates that each phone go through. Samsung Galaxy S II Release Date and Pricing Revealed

The release date for the UK, Germany, and the rest of Europe has been pushed to early May. For those you from the US, it’s likely it will be released on major carriers like Verizon as early as July 14. Read our full article here.

The development of technology has hit near insanity. Only one year ago, a 550Mhz Phone like the Motorola Droid was considered a hot piece of kit. Today, people are going ballistic for dual core 1Ghz to 1.2Ghz phones with shockingly high resolutions, massive 1930mAh batteries, and a jaw dropping 1 gigabyte ram on board to handle the users every whim.

Here at CES, things are crazy! 2011 is shaping up to be an amazing year for Android Phone enthusiasts all around the world. 4 inch plus screens are going to dominate the market as more and more people will make it their mainstay device. With the Optimus 2X, LG launched the first salvo in the dual-core battle and having a dual-core processor will soon be the standard for high-end mobile devices.
