Now that the US big guys have all announced their plans for the Galaxy S3, you might have already decided what carrier to get the phone from. And although I personally don’t know many people that prefer US Cellular, the nation’s sixth largest telco, you might want to take note of their offer too.
As on all the other carriers in the United States, the Galaxy S3 will be available from US Cellular starting at $199.99. That’s for the 16 GB version, of course, while the 32 GB model will go for $249.99, which is also on-par with what all the other carriers are planning to charge for Sammy’s new flagship.
US Cellular’s pricing, however, depends on mail-in rebates, both [...]
Now that most of you have got the chance to explore the ins and outs of the Samsung Galaxy S3, how about adding an extra something-something for the phone? Never mind pictures — what we have here is demo videos of several Galaxy S3’s genuine accessories, as uploaded by MobileFun, some of which you can probably get in stores already.
From the desktop dock, holder and battery charger, Wi-Fi display hub, and C-Pen, to the flip cover, these accessories can help enhance the Galaxy experience.

Dock and charge your Samsung Galaxy S3 in style. There’s also a 3.5mm audio line out to connect the phone to an external [...]
We were somewhat surprised earlier this week to find out that all U.S. Galaxy S3 versions will not only sport the same design as the international version, but that they will also come with the same product name. Samsung managed to convince carriers to sell virtually the same Galaxy S3 version in the region (albeit there are certain differences from model to model when it comes to wireless technology, whether it’s 3G or 4G), and that’s certainly something future buyers will appreciate.
But what if we told you that there is a country where Samsung may be launching a completely different Galaxy S3 version, at least when it comes to overall [...]
This month’s buyer’s guide brings something different to Android Authority.
We have rolled together all the US mobile networks in one place, and have selected only the best phones for you. We will also be covering rumored or soon to be released phones, in case what you find below is not quiet to your liking. Let’s kick it!Verizon
Choosing a phone from Verizon for the June Buyer’s Guide was difficult. All Big Red’s top of the line phones date back from the end of 2011. That’s a stark contrast with the other carriers, who have new flagship phones on the shelf right now. Although the phones from late last year are no slouchers [...]
Having trouble choosing between 2012’s Phone of the Year candidate Samsung Galaxy S3 and the shape-shifting Asus Padfone?
Check out the quick comparison video below to see how the two smartphones stack up against each other. To make things even more interesting, we’ve also thrown last year’s best-selling Android phone, the Samsung Galaxy S2 into the mix, so make that a three-way visual comparison.
The red hot Samsung Galaxy S3 is the more attractive offering compared to the two. But for those who like the idea of a device within a device (within a device), the Asus Padfone should make for one worthy purchase. The complete package of the Padfone will cost you [...]
If one of the many reasons you’ve pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy S3 on AT&T or Verizon was the free 50GB online storage offer from Dropbox, prepare to be disappointed. According to a moderator on Dropbox’ forum, the two carriers have apparently opted out of the 2-year free cloud storage deal that Samsung announced at the phone’s unveiling last month.
There are many possible motives as to why AT&T and Verizon are depriving future owners of Galaxy S3 of their free cloud storage. Perhaps the two are worried about the repercussions of having millions of customers syncing data simultaneously and how it would affect their networks. Perhaps they are planning to [...]
Samsung had huge problems with the worldwide release of the S2 last year, needing several months to get the phone in stores across the five continents. Fortunately, the issues have disappeared with the new Galaxy S3 and we’re hoping to see the new flagship smartphone get from Europe and Asia to the US in less than a month.
Unfortunately, Sammy has still encountered some more minor issues with the phone’s distribution, and was forced to only offer the white 16 GB version in many markets. The 32 GB model has only started shipping in a couple of markets around the globe, while the Pebble Blue version’s shipments (both in 16 and 32 GB) have been delayed due to “production [...]
Samsung’s Galaxy S3 is impressive in many areas, but the phone’s camera isn’t exactly regarded as groundbreaking. Then again, we’ve seen the shooter performing pretty much at the same level as the ones featured by Apple’s iPhone 4S or HTC’s One X, so we personally don’t have many complaints about it.
If, however, you want to take the 8-megapixel’s video recording to new heights, we have some very good news for you. HyperX, an independent custom ROM developer who’s been handling several cool, functional mods in the past, has come up with an S3 software tweak that takes the phone’s camera and makes it… simply irresistible.
The S3 exclusive mod, available for [...]
In early May, soon after Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S3, certain reports claimed that the company’s legal counsel had a hand in the device’s design, a design that was heavily contested at the time by certain tech blogs and even potential buyers. It was suggested that the Galaxy S3 is lawsuit-proof, as its design would not infringe any of the patents Apple could use to attack the handset.
Apple and Samsung have been involved in a huge patent-based legal fight that spanned across four continents, with the two companies suing and counter-suing each other in 10 different markets. There are well over 30 lawsuits between the two at this time, and [...]
Samsung’s Galaxy S3 was made official in Canada exactly one week ago, at which point we found out the phone’s pricing and exact release date. We also expected to see Canadian carriers taking pre-orders for the S3 and, while some (Rogers and Telus) did exactly so, Bell and SaskTel were left out of the mix.
The waiting is fortunately now over for Bell customers, who can finally make sure they have a cozy place in (front of the) line for Samsung’s new flagship phone. That’s the good news of our today’s report, while the bad news (yeah, there’s bad news, too) is that the 32 GB model is not yet up for pre-order.
You can therefore either go for the 16 GB version of [...]
