Good news for those who have yet to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S3 on AT&T. Both Target and Amazon Wireless have the Galaxy S3 listed for $149.99. There’s a catch to the promotion, though.
The $149.99 deal for the Samsung Galaxy S3 on Target is only valid for those who are looking to upgrade their phones on AT&T. If you’re a new subscriber, the price is set at $189.99. Pre-ordering the phone now will guarantee that it will be shipped on June 21, which happens to be AT&T’s official launch date for the Galaxy S3 as well – says the fine prints.
Pre-ordering the Samsung Galaxy S3 on Amazon Wireless will also get you that $50 price cut from the [...]
Just over a week ago, Verizon started to let their customers pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S3. However, unlike their direct competitors, the folks at AT&T or Sprint (shipping the Galaxy S3 on June 21), Verizon disappointed a lot of eager customers when they announced that they will only begin selling Samsung’s hit device on July 9. As if that was not bad enough, now Bid Red has gone back and changed the shipping date from July 9 to July 10.
It’s only one day, so nothing to get into a fuss about, right? Well, after going through months of rumors and teasing, 24 hours should not be much of a problem, although I am sure that at least some Verizon customers [...]
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is one of the best, if not the best, Android smartphones launched this year, but Galaxy S fans waited for months for Samsung to unveil the device. The Galaxy S3 was not announced at CES or MWC as initially expected, and Samsung kept everyone in the dark regarding the phone’s design, features, and availability dates until early May, when the company held a special London-based event to announce the handset.
In addition to being Samsung’s best smartphone creation to date and its current flagship device, the handset was also the most secret such project of the company. For once, Samsung managed to keep the characteristics [...]
With all the hype about the Galaxy S3 these days, does it still pay to own the Google phone? Of course it does! Galaxy Nexus owners receive all OTA updates, have gratuitous amounts of developer support, and still own one of the more powerful Android devices to date.
Regardless of these facts, many owners are itching to taste some of that GS3 goodness, and we don’t blame them. The device and its software are simply epic. Thankfully, it didn’t take long for the Galaxy Nexus’ developer community to provide loyal owners with a way to do it!What is needed?
Now before I delve any deeper into this Galaxy Nexus transformation, it is important to say that [...]
The Galaxy S3 US launch is finally (almost) upon us. For Android fans in the US, that’s great news, not only because they’ll get to play with one of the best smartphones ever, but also because some older devices will become more accessible than ever.
We’ve suspected for a while that the Samsung’s Galaxy S2, still a more than decent phone, will see discounts in the coming weeks, and now we have a confirmation of sorts from TechnoBuffalo.com. According to a “trusted source” inside Sprint, the Now Network will be dropping the price of the Epic 4G Touch to a winning $99.99 on a two-year contract on June 21, which just happens to be the release date of the [...]
The Sprint Galaxy S3 is already available for pre-order and it will be launched in just over a week from now, on June 21. For that matter, in addition to Sprint, Samsung’s 2012 flagship device will hit five more U.S. carriers this summer including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and C Spire.
In case you’re particularly interested in purchasing the device from Sprint, then you’ll be happy to hear that no less than 15 Galaxy S3 training videos for Sprint employees have been leaked, each one demoing certain features of the handset.
The videos, posted by Inside Sprint Now, are very short (45 to 80 seconds) but they each show [...]
Samsung’s Galaxy S3 has been up for pre-order from the three major Canadian carriers for a while now, with Rogers, Bell and Telus all offering the new super-phone at the same price. The 16 GB base version of the S3 is set to go for $159.99 with a three-year carrier agreement, and the chances to see anyone lowering that price tag were modest, to say the least.
That’s until today, when Quebec-based Videotron started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S3 and, surprise, surprise, the phone starts at $99.95. As you might imagine, things will not stand as they are for a long time and the “unit will only be available for the low price of $99.95 for a limited [...]
The Galaxy S3 is only the latest of a (limited) series of Samsung phones that come with near field communication, or NFC, support. The wireless tech is mostly used these days to enable mobile payments on such Android smartphones, with Google being one of the many promoters of this new payment technology.
But Samsung has other plans in mind for its NFC phones, as the company has created a new disposable accessory for these devices, the Samsung TecTile, which is essentially a NFC-based app shortcut / action trigger.
The TecTiles, which will be available in stores when the Galaxy S3 launches, come in packs of five stickers and are priced [...]
The Galaxy S3 is going to be available in America from six carriers this summer including the Big Four – Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile – but also two regional carriers: U.S. Cellular and C-Spire. At least three of the four nationwide mobile operators planned to launch the phone in the following week, with June 21 being the earliest U.S. Galaxy S3 release date in the region. But an expected obstacle soon appeared: Apple.
The iPhone maker tried to obtain a preliminary injunction against Galaxy S3 sales in the region, arguing that the handset is in violation of some of its patents. The company attempted to include the Galaxy S3 in [...]
Just days after releasing the Galaxy S3 in Europe and parts of Asia, and before getting it out in the US, Samsung has already issued not one, but two OTA (over-the-air) updates for their new flagship phone.
The first of the two upgrades weighs in at 31.17 MB, according to a SlashGear report, but only 9 MB, according to the guys at Phone Arena, and its changelog only mentions “improved stability” as software tweaks and/or improvements.
To get the update, you only have to access the Android settings menu in your Galaxy S3, tap “About Device” and then “Software Update”. A message will pop up if you perform a manual check, and the new software package should be up [...]
