What started purely as a way to protect your smartphone from scratches and dents, has developed into a whole other entity by itself. You can now get numerous protective case options for most devices, each suited for different individual needs. With OEMs spending a lot of time and effort into creating beautifully designed devices, covering them up is not ideal. As such, there’s a huge demand for not only protective, but also aesthetically-pleasing smartphone cases that complement the device design.
Today, we bring to you a Samsung Galaxy S3 soft case extravaganza. Making the shortlist are 7 beautifully crafted cases including KaysCase Slim Soft Skin Cover Case, Fosmon [...]
Scratches, dents, and in extreme cases, cracked screens, on a handheld device is never a good thing, regardless of how expensive the device is. But, when you shell out over $700 for the latest high-end smartphone, you’ll do anything to make sure it stays in pristine condition. Unfortunately, accidents do occur, sometimes more often than you’d like. It’s because of this scenario that protective cases and covers came into the picture.
Following a report that mentioned a device insurer might not have replacement devices for the Samsung Galaxy S3, there is even more reason to take extra care of Samsung’s latest flagship device. Today, we do a review [...]
There has been much debate around exactly what improvements Samsung has brought to the table with the Galaxy S3 over the S2 and a big part of that discussion has concentrated on the two smartphones’ displays.
While many users have agreed that the S3’s screen is a natural evolution from the S2’s panel, there have been more than a fistful of critics disagreeing with that opinion, which has led to Samsung officials issuing statements defending the new display.
Naturally, that hasn’t completely calmed the criticism “storm”, but maybe DisplayMate’s most recent in-depth analysis will manage to do just that. According to what looks like a [...]
The 64GB Samsung Galaxy S3 model has proven to be quite the elusive one out of the three announced versions, mostly because since its introduction, Samsung hasn’t quite yet gotten around to actually release the phone. This lead to speculations that the bigger capacity Galaxy S3 has been put on the chopping block. But has it really been cancelled?
The Verge has received an official statement from Samsung that should be enough to put the cancellation rumors to rest. While the phone is still coming, you’re going to have to hold on to your money that much longer, because, well, Samsung has only shared a rather vague release date.
Here’s what Samsung said:
When the Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 came out of production, it came with Samsung’s custom keyboard, leaving phone users unable to enjoy the advantages (or disadvantages) of the stock ICS keyboard.
The stock ICS keyboard has been considered one of the best keyboard apps for Android, giving users the joy of typing by providing an almost perfect space between letters, better word prediction and typing correction, and more.
But, worry not. Developers have found ways to install and enable the stock ICS keyboard on the Galaxy S3.
Here are the steps you need to do to install the stock Android 4.0 keyboard on your Samsung Galaxy S3 [...]
One of the main requirements in order to program a CDMA phone is knowing the Master Subsidy Lock code (MSL number). This code is useful, most especially when you are trying to program a mobile telephone number. If you’re one of the many users who still can’t find out where the MSL number is located on your Sprint Galaxy S3 SPH-L710, then we’ve got some good news for you.
Owners of non-rooted Sprint Galaxy S3 phones can easily get their MSL number just by using an application known as Get My MSL. You can grab your copy by heading to the Google Play Store. But, for those who have rooted devices, the Get My MSL application will definitely not work. However, you can [...]
Are you looking to buy a new Android device, preferably as affordable as possible, but also as high-end as possible? Well, in case you’re ready to commit to a new two-year agreement with either Verizon or Sprint, Amazon Wireless happens to be hosting a special mid-Summer sale that includes various interesting Android handsets.
While not all devices are priced at one cent, the prices offered now by Amazon are still cheaper than anything else that’s out there. But, as always with Amazon deals, you’ll either have to be a new customer or add a new line to take advantage of the discounts.
Here are the devices part of Amazon’s mid-Summer [...]
Our readers are most likely aware of the issues that plagued the release of the hit Samsung Galaxy S3 across North America. Sammy cited the “unprecedented global demand” as the reason for the delays and shortages, and, while in other situations we would have called it out as a lame excuse, in the case of the S3, we are actually inclined to cut Samsung some slack.
The Galaxy S3 obviously sold very good (6.5 million units in 33 days) which means that device insurance companies like Asurion have a double problem on their hands. First, they need to secure a reasonable stock of replacement units, which is problematic right now due to the S3 shortages. Second, the [...]
Launched in late May, the Galaxy S3 is now available from all Big Four carriers in the U.S, with regional operators including U.S. Cellular and C Spire scheduled to get the handset soon. What’s particular for the American launch is that two of the Big Four mobile operators have already issued some important Galaxy S3 updates that, in addition to bringing some fixes and improvements, also happen to dumb down the Search feature of the phone.
The Verge got a statement from Samsung on the matter and it appears that it’s the company’s doing. Just as we suspected, the South Korean Android maker is taking preemptive measures against another [...]
According to local news outlet Maeil Business Newspaper, Samsung is expected to increase its already impressive lead in the South Korean mobile market. After dominating the smartphone market in the first half of 2012 with a share of 66%, company executives predict that Samsung will reach an unprecedented 70% market share in July.
According to a high-ranking Samsung official, the electronics mammoth already controls almost 69% of the fast growing LTE-enabled phone segment. The strong push into the LTE segment is one of the factors that explain Samsung’s blow out performance. Phones like the Galaxy S2 HD LTE and the Galaxy S3 (which sold a record-shattering 50,000 units [...]
