Samsung Premium Suite upgrade rolling out to Galaxy S4, Note 2 and Galaxy S3 — starting with Verizon

Samsung has now announced that its upcoming Premium Suite update will start rolling out to select Samsung devices, with the first upgrades starting today. Besides Android 4.3 and Gear support, Samsung also promises improved multi-window support, easy mode and more.

More Samsung devices will soon be compatible with the Galaxy Gear

The Galaxy Gear is, right now, only compatible with the Note 3 and some Galaxy S4 units, but that should change over the next weeks. The Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S4 mini, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy Mega 5.8, Galaxy Mega 6.3, and Galaxy S4 zoom are on the list.

Galaxy S4 sales slumped over summer, says research firm

Sales of the Samsung Galaxy S4 slumped this summer, says a newly released market research report. Samsung managed to sell 5 million Galaxy S4 in August, but offset it with sales in the budget segment.

Galaxy Note 3 region lock is an issue after all, Android 4.4 update may lock older Galaxy handsets

The Galaxy Note 3 SIM card region lock is apparently a serious issue for many buyers, with Samsung yet to offer a clear explanation for this new policy. Furthermore, it looks like future Android 4.4 KitKat updates will bring the same region lock to older Galaxy handsets.

Talking about the Galaxy Gear, Samsung execs have basically confirmed that the Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 will arrive starting with October.
