The Galaxy Note 3 SIM card region lock is apparently a serious issue for many buyers, with Samsung yet to offer a clear explanation for this new policy. Furthermore, it looks like future Android 4.4 KitKat updates will bring the same region lock to older Galaxy handsets.
Samsung Canada and French carrier SFR have confirmed launch windows for the Android 4.3 update for Samsung’s Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 smartphones.
