Yesterday, Samsung sent out a “Save the Date” message to the press, announcing a mystery major event due to happen on August 15 at 10AM EST. The message is light on details, other than the fact that a new Galaxy device will be unveiled.

What can it be? The Samsung Galaxy Note 2? We wished, but the successor of the Note is most likely to be [...]
A few days ago we told you that Samsung has already scheduled a special Unlocked event for August 30 in Berlin, Germany – a day ahead of IFA 2012 – where the company is expected to unveil it’s next-gen phablet, the Galaxy Note 2.
Galaxy Note 2 rumors are flying left and right, with the South Korean Android manufacturer said to be interested in launching the device before Apple releases its sixth-generation smartphone, also expected to hit in the following months.
Without revealing any Galaxy Note 2 details, Samsung has started taking registrations from developers for a special developer day at this year’s IFA event.
Given that the Samsung Galaxy Note was one of the biggest bestsellers for the South Korean electronics giant, the recent flood of rumors regarding the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 doesn’t seem unfounded at all. But to be frank, the only bit of reliable info is the 30% official confirmation from Samsung Arabia back in mid-July. Everything else is based on rumors, logic, and industry knowledge.
We know it might be hard to keep up with all these rumors, so we’ve compiled all the information we have covered about the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in just one article, divided by spec rumors and release date rumors. Hope you’ll find it useful to have everything in one [...]
The first Galaxy Note was unveiled back in September 2011 during the IFA trade show and it looks like its rumored successor, the Galaxy Note 2, will be announced at this year’s edition of the German electronics fair. Samsung is reportedly going to hold a special Unpacked mobile event on August 30, a day before IFA 2012 kicks off, and the star of the show is without a doubt the next-gen phablet.
The news trickled in right from Asia where DDaily reports that the South Korean Android device manufacturer has scheduled a special media event for August 30 and the event is already confirmed – it will take [...]
A battle between two extra-sized phones is about to commence, courtesy of Samsung and LG. The former, of course, is the undisputed leader in the phablet category, with the Galaxy Note. While LG hasn’t been too successful with the Optimus Vu, partly due to the fact that it has yet to cross over to another country, LG is betting on the Optimus Vu 2 to knock the champion down.
As recently reported, Samsung is planning to reveal the Galaxy Note 2 during IFA 2012, which will be held from August 31 – September 5 in Berlin, Germany. But according to the Korean newspaper DDaily, both Samsung and LG will unveil their phablets sometime before the [...]
The Samsung Galaxy Note is still an AT&T exclusive in the U.S. but that’s about to change soon as we keep getting more and more reports detailing T-Mobile’s own Galaxy Note launch plans.
Sure, the Galax Note 2 is supposedly launching this summer at IFA 2012, and customers interested in getting a phablet should rather wait for that model to become official, but that won’t stop T-Mobile from unveiling its own Galaxy Note flavor.
Speaking of officially announcing the device, the carrier is yet to produce an official press release, but considering that Galaxy Note support documents have already been spotted on T-Mobile’s website, we [...]
After being shrouded in mystery for so long, it seems we are nearing the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Korean news agency MK has reported that Samsung is going to debut the Galaxy Note 2 at the upcoming IFA 2012 in Berlin, a consumer electronics show that will be held late next month.
A source close to the development team has confirmed that the sequel to the multi-million selling Galaxy Note will indeed come with a 5.5-inch display, as reported a while back. And we hope you’re sitting down, because there are more juicy details on the Galaxy Note 2 below.
The Galaxy Note 2 is likely to come with the same quad-core processor found on the [...]
We’re not sure if Samsung is trying to pull a Galaxy S3 on the Galaxy Note 2 – keeping all information about the phablet on a lock down until introduction day – but it sure feels like it. All we got so far of the Galaxy Note 2 are speculations that tech pundits have been throwing about, with Samsung seemingly staying quiet – save for one tweet. Here’s an update on the phablet phenomenon straight from the usual anonymous source.
GSM Arena has gotten in touch with an insider who said that the next-gen phablet will be out in September. This, of course, contradicts earlier reports that hinted of an October [...]
As tech geeks move along to the next big thing from Samsung, all bespectacled eyes are now on the upcoming Galaxy Note 2 — the eagerly anticipated sequel to the phone and tablet hybrid that hasn’t even been announced yet by the company, but has already been causing some big waves on the blogging scene.
Fortunately, Samsung Mobile Arabia let loose on its Twitter account and almost confirmed the existence of Galaxy Note 2 in less than 140 characters.
Okay, so there may not be enough information to deduct from the tweet to get really excited about – but it’s as close to an official confirmation as we can get of the Galaxy Note 2 for now from a [...]
This one definitely goes into the Galaxy Note 2 rumors folder as there is no hard evidence to support the claim, but according to MK Business News, Samsung Electronics will release the Galaxy Note 2 in October.
Obviously, Samsung is bound to release the Galaxy Note 2 by the end of the year, but an October release for the Galaxy Note 2 will automatically pin Samsung’s phablet directly against Apple’s iPhone 5, also expected to be released during the same time period.
Such a head-on battle would definitely make a lot of sense for Samsung, given that the first Galaxy Note was different enough from the rest of the Android pack to actually draw in customers that aren’t huge [...]
