Samsung Galaxy S II LTE One of Rogers Flagship Devices for LTE Rollout in Canada

Rogers Communications confirmed via press release that the Canadian mobile carrier will be offering the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE, previously codenamed the Samsung Celox, among other LTE-enabled devices this fall.

With the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE, Canadians can now enjoy the blazing speed of LTE (Long-Term Evolution) technology.  LTE is the next generation mobile technology that delivers mobile broadband experience similar to that of home and office broadband. LTE can potentially reach peak download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds at 70 Mbps.

Samsung Galaxy S II LTE, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE Included in Flood of Android Devices for IFA 2011

The more, the merrier. Faster and stronger. These seem to be Samsung’s battlecries for its next wave of attacks against its competitors. Proof of that is the bagful of new upcoming Android phones that the Korean electronics company will be unveiling at the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA 2011), an international consumer electronics fair to be held in Berlin this week.

Under the “faster and sronger” category are 4G LTE versions of the Samsung Galaxy S II and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, both of which Samsung has confirmed to be debuted along with other Android and non-Android Samsung handsets at the IFA 2011.

Samsung App Leaks Possible Handsets for Launch at IFA 2011

A week from now, the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) 2011 shall officially blast off this year showcasing newfangled gadgets and gizmos in a global trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances. What is Samsung showing off at the event to amaze everyone?

A curious Android user went digging inside the SAMSUNGmobile UNPACKED app’s Android Package (APK) file and discovered logos for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, the Samsung Wave 3, and the Samsung Galaxy Note.

The discoverer tipped tech blog This Is My Next about the logos, which seem to suggest that Samsung is planning to bring out these three devices at the Internationale Funkausstellung [...]

Samsung Celox Could Be the Droid Bionic’s Nemesis

Rumors are going around that the Samsung Galaxy S2 has a younger brother named Celox that looks almost like it. Speculations of its features point that it can be the biggest rival Motorola’s Droid Bionic will have to face on the 4G LTE arena.

 

According to the buzz, Droid Bionic is supposed to be released this September. If any of its assumed features are true, then its future contemporaries on Verizon’s 4G LTE network – the Samsung Droid Charge and HTC Thunderbolt, won’t be a match for this Android superphone.

The Samsung Celox on the other hand is a different story. The face-off is not likely going to happen in Verizon’s backyard as the Celox [...]
