32GB Google Nexus 7 listed by Office Depot at $250, promptly pulled out

by: J. Angelo RacomaOctober 25, 2012
A 32 gigabyte capacity Google Nexus 7 has been long rumored to be in the pipeline. But even before Google's official announcement, some retailers seem to have inadvertently listed the product already. For one, Office Depot was reported to have listed the 32 GB Nexus 7 on its retail site, priced at US$ 249.99.

Google Nexus 7 sold out after “incredible demand” – where to buy the Jelly Bean tablet from?

by: Chris SmithJuly 21, 2012

The Google Nexus 7 Jelly Bean tablet has been officially announced at this year’s Google I/O edition, with Google taking pre-orders on the same day it unveiled the device in late June. By mid-July, the company partnered up with various electronics retailers that have also started taking pre-orders for the device.

The Nexus 7 started shipping last Friday, with customers not happy to see some of those retailers beat Google when it came to shipping pre-orders. Since then, we reported that various companies finished their first Nexus 7 allotments on the first days of sales, but the device continued to be available from Google’s own Google Play [...]

Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 is now listed as “in stock” on Office Depot

by: LucianJuly 14, 2012

The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 ( by the way, I really hate these 5-word long names, as they are not only unnecessary but potentially harmful for sales) has showed up on Office Depot’s online store as “in stock” for a $499.99 price.

Other retailers haven’t yet put the Pad Infinity for sale, so it’s possible this is just an error on Office Depot’s part, meaning that you probably won’t be able to order it anyway. The good news is that after a long delay, the TF700 will start rolling out very soon in all stores, and you’ll finally be able to get your hands on one.

What you’ll get for $500 is a [...]

Nexus 7 sold out at GameStop, Staples and Sam’s Club on first day

by: Chris SmithJuly 14, 2012

Announced in late June at Google I/O 2012, and available for pre-order ever since in select countries – both from Google and other third-party retailers – the Nexus 7 finally started shipping yesterday. At the same time, Google authorized its retail partners to start selling the tablet in their stores, with companies like GameStop, Staples, Sam’s Club or Office Depot having already received Nexus 7 stock.

Reuters reported on Friday afternoon that the Google tablet sold out with various U.S. retailers including GameStop, Staples, Sam’s Club, while Office Depot “continued to offer the device for sale as of the afternoon.”

GameStop went [...]

Nexus 7 delayed at Office Depot until further notice

by: Chris SmithJuly 12, 2012

Yesterday we heard that the Google Nexus 7 tablet may be available from Office Depot starting today, but it turns out that’s not the case anymore. In fact, we have a new screenshot that reveals that the first Jelly Bean tablet in the world has been delayed. The device is still available for pre-order from the retailer, but we don’t have any official release date for you at this time.

Apparently Office Depot has received Nexus 7 stock, but they came with strict instructions not to be displayed and not to be sold at this time. Any Nexus 7 shipments have to be held and locked up “until further notice.” I would assume Google is not yet ready to [...]

Office Depot Nexus 7 launch set for July 12?

by: Chris SmithJuly 11, 2012

Google’s Nexus 7 is slowly but surely approaching its official launch as both Google and other third-party retailers are getting ready to accommodate your tablet needs – and by that I mean shipping the Nexus 7 or making the device available in stores.

While we wait for Google to announce the release date of the Nexus 7 – somewhere around mid July – we’ll tell you that pre-orders are still available to anyone interested in the device. In fact, Office Depot is the latest retailer to offer Google Nexus 7 pre-orders. According to a leaked document dug up by Droid-Life, Office Depot “will be authorized to pre-sell the new 16GB Google Nexus [...]
