by: Carl ParkerAugust 20, 2012

Music is a universal language understood by everyone. It may have different impacts on different people, but music is one thing that can bring people together. If you love listening to music like I do, having your songs with you wherever you go is a luxury you can enjoy with your Android device. No need for separate music players when your Android device is capable of doing almost anything. You just need the right apps to do the job.

If you missed including a song or two to your device’s music library and find hooking your device to the computer quite tiring, you’ve come to the right place. With your Android device, you can still hunt down those songs using [...]

NanoMusic: Lightweight, multi-format music player for Android

by: Carl ParkerAugust 10, 2012

Music lovers would love to have an app that would provide them flexibility in playing their favorite music and an easy-to-use and simple interface. The regular music player that comes on all Android phones and tablets can be enough. However, would you want to settle for something generic or would you want to find a better app that would meet your requirements or expectations? Did you downloaded an app that packs certain features you like but fails in all other aspects? As of the moment, there are a good deal of apps on the Google Play Store that can  provide you the functions you need but still fail to capture you completely.

Spotify for Android app finally arrives on the Kindle Fire

by: Andrew GrushAugust 7, 2012

For music lovers, owning a Kindle Fire just became a whole lot sweeter with the addition of support for the vastly popular music-streaming service, Spotify. The service has graced iOS and Android for a while now, but has quickly started to show its virtual face in a wider range of devices including televisions and media players.

Previously, those with a bit of technical skills managed to still get their musical groove on by side-loading the app onto their beloved Amazon tablets, but it’s great to finally have an official way to enjoy all that Spotify has to offer. With the overall popularity of the Amazon Store and the Kindle Fire, [...]

Today, I’m here to report on Amazon’s recently announced updates to their Cloud Player music streaming platform, updates that aren’t innovative, as we’ve seen all of them as being integrated in either Google’s Music or Apple’s iTunes.

The first update that Amazon brought to their Cloud Player is a “scan and match” technology that will allow users to scan their media libraries [...]

by: Carl ParkerAugust 1, 2012

Picture this: You’re at a friend’s party and your friend is using his/her phone to play music and to keep the party alive. You approach your friend so you can play a very cool song you’d like everyone to hear, but–yes, but–your friend is using a speaker or audio amplifier that your phone’s audio dock is not compatible with. So, you ask your friend if you can send the music file to his phone but it takes time for the file to fully transfer to your friend’s phone.

Have you ever wished for an app that would allow you to instantly share your favorite music, without the hassle of switching audio jacks or having to send the file? Your wish [...]

Spotify for Android app gets free radio streaming, only for US customers

by: Bams SadewoJuly 31, 2012

Spotify is giving Android users something to hum about, as it brings its free radio service to Android devices in the US. This is the same unlimited free radio service that has been available on iOS devices since last month.

While the radio streaming feature on Spotify Android app is available at no extra cost for premium subscribers, who are already paying a $10 monthly fee anyhow, non-subscribers can opt for the absolutely free service. The second option means the radio stream will get interrupted every now and then with ad-breaks. If you come across a song that’s worthy of another listen on your PC, you can easily give it a thumbs up – and it will go straight to [...]
