Motorola ELECTRIFY M announced for US Cellular, arrives for online sales on November 8

US Cellular customers now have another option in terms of 4G LTE smartphones. The latest device is the Motorola ELECTRIFY M, which will be available on November 8. The pricing will vary depending on whether you live (or do not live) in a 4G LTE covered location.

Google, Motorola urged to leak Ice Cream Sandwich / Jelly Bean internal ROMs for Atrix 4G, Photon

A few days ago, we told you that Google/Motorola decided not to update the Atrix 4G and Photon (Electrify) to Ice Cream Sandwich, both smartphones released only last year. That was certainly a surprising move not because we haven’t seen it before, but because Motorola is now a Google subsidiary, and we would expect the Android maker to offer more support to its customers, especially when it comes to software upgrades.

A few days ago we told you that the Motorola Atrix 2 will be getting the Ice Cream Sandwich update at some point in the future, but we have some bad news for Motorola fans that still use older Motorola devices such as the Atrix 4G, Electrify and Photon 4G.

All we hear from Apple users, and especially from the poor souls that chose an iPhone4S over a Galaxy Nexus or any of the other leading Android devices, is how cool Siri is. Siri that, Siri this, we get it, you love your virtual personal assistant.

But Google has its own voice recognition technology – Google Voice Actions, which lets you send texts, fire up your GPS navigator, or go to a website simply by telling you phone to do it. Sure, it’s not Siri. Google Voice Actions is not designed to be an intelligent assistant, nor does Google claim that the Voice Actions app is a match for Siri.
