We live in a world in which technology is moving very rapidly. While this can be great in terms of innovation, it can be extremely annoying for consumers. We also live in a world where most smartphone users are locked into multi-year contracts. Why is it that the contracts we are forced to abide by don’t line up with the rate in which new technology is being released?

Although the 4.3-incher still sells for $199.99 from Verizon with a two-year contract, Amazon Wireless has been kind enough to slash this big guy’s price to a penny. That’s right, folks, you can get the Razr practically for free these days and all you have to do is commit to a new Big Red agreement.

The company is ready to slash $50 off on any Android smartphone in its inventory that’s priced $99.99 or higher. The deal is available until July 28 in stores, while the RadioShack online store will keep offering the promotion through to the end of August.

He recently shared the content of his travel gear with Gizmodo, which provides a rare glimpse to the multitude of gadgets of varying platforms and sizes that Woz apparently carries at all time when he hits the road.
