Unlike with the original Droid RAZR, which was quickly followed by a Droid RAZR Maxx released that pissed off buyers that hurried to get the former version, Motorola has learned from its mistakes and announced both the Droid RAZR HD and the Droid RAZR Maxx HD at the same time.
At Motorola’s On Display event in New York today, CEO Dennis Woodside announced that the company was committed to Android and would roll out upgrades to the latest version of the platform, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, “very soon”.
It’s official, Motorola has now announced the already leaked Droid RAZR HD. The new flagship device comes with a 4.7-inch HD display and will be powered by Android 4.0 ICS. For those that were hoping for Jelly Bean, Motorola says an update will arrive sometime this year — though no specific date is mentioned.
