It’s official, Motorola has now announced the already leaked Droid RAZR HD. The new flagship device comes with a 4.7-inch HD display and will be powered by Android 4.0 ICS. For those that were hoping for Jelly Bean, Motorola says an update will arrive sometime this year — though no specific date is mentioned.

At least, that’s our first thought when we saw the invitation that Motorola and Verizon have sent out for a special unveiling event, which is scheduled to take place in New York City on September 5.
