Is Motorola moving to Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processors?

HTC has already released its flagship Android 4.0 device with the HTC One X, and we are eagerly awaiting the imminent announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S3 on May 3. Meanwhile, another Android powerhouse, Motorola, has been relatively silent about its next flagship device, supposedly dubbed Droid Fighter and also known as the Droid Razr HD.

Some new information has come to light about a Motorola device code-named “Qinara” which may (or may not) be Motorola’s entry into an already competitive high-end Android smartphone market.

Pictures taken with Motorola Droid Razr HD show up on Picasa. Is it the Droid Fighter?

What would you do if you had a secret Motorola phone that only a handful have ever seen or touched? You’d take pictures with it and upload them to Picasa, of course. Or at least that’s what one Motorola engineer apparently did. It’s also how Blog of Mobile, a Japanese mobile blog (go figure), uncovered pictures taken with what appears to be the Motorola Droid Razr HD.

The EXIF data attached to the series of pictures showed that they were taken by said Motorola Droid Razr HD phone, which is also known as the Motorola XT926.  Other notable information listed includes the phone’s f/2.4 aperture and Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. Motorola Droid Fighter spotted, 4.6-inch HD display goodness

Rumors of yet another Motorola Droid phone made their way to the blogosphere several weeks ago, thanks to a leaked screenshot showing upcoming Android smartphones to be released by Verizon. But, back then, we only got a glimpse of a possible name and release date. Dubbed the Motorola Droid Fighter, the third Motorola Droid offering in six months will be made available on Verizon’s network on April 12. Now, we can finally attach a face to Motorola’s feistily-named new Droid.
