Updated pics of HTC’s Supersonic and Bravo

by: Chuck ZichJanuary 26, 2010

New pictures have been scouted of the HTC Supersonic and Bravo showing off more detail and less blurriness than previous reports.  The HTC Supersonic, said to be packing HD2 like specs with a Snapdragon processor and, more impressively, WiMAX capabilities has been spotted online in the past few days in some very blurry shots.  The phone can now be seen in a much clearer picture as well as a new rendering (although we believe it to be fan made).

The Bravo, which was first spied about a week ago also gets a fresh new pic and looks pretty much the same. I’m curious to see how the “optical joystick” functions.  We will have to wait and see, but hopefully both [...]

HTC Bravo takes the stage in early form

by: Chuck ZichJanuary 21, 2010

Say hello to the first live picture of the HTC Bravo.  The picture, uncovered by Omio, shows some interesting hardware design cues such as an optical joystick, asymmetrical button interface and physical buttons as opposed to the touch sensitive type.  Rumored to be launching with T-Mobile UK sometime in March and possibly free with a 2 year contract, this device is said to be toe to toe with Google’s Nexus One in terms of specs.  Current officially known specs are a 3.7-inch display with multitouch capabilities, 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus, the newest iteration of Android OS, updated Sense UI, and the beefy Snapdragon processor turning the gears.  The name [...]

HTC Passion is the US version of the European Bravo, won’t launch until January 2010?

by: Susan ElleryDecember 8, 2009

When it comes to rumors coming out of Asia, Digitimes can be hit or miss with the Taiwanese newspaper being wrong as often as it is correct. Despite its mediocre track record, the latest rumor seems reasonable enough to pass along. According to Digitimes, the flagship HTC Bravo and the rumored HTC Passion are one and the same handset with the former slated for launch on T-Mobile in Europe and the latter for launch in the US. This little snippet of information is not surprising, as the two handsets, with their touchscreen AMOLED displays and 1GHz Snapdragon processors, share similar specifications. The Passion will supposedly launch first in January 2010, a date that is slightly later [...]

HTC planning five new Android devices for the first half of 2010?

by: Susan ElleryDecember 7, 2009

A crudely scanned slide deck detailing HTC’s portfoilo for Q1 and Q2 2010 was leaked by B3ler3fonte over at xda-developers. Described as a prototype brochure, the document was distributed at a global conference hosted by HTC in Vienna during the month of October. Of the eight handsets slated for launch in the first half of 2010, five of them are Android! We have the Legend, the Salsa, the Bravo, the Tide, and the Buzz. Remember that leaked HTC Android 2.1 ROM that contained codenames for future HTC devices? The Legend and Bravo are included on the list. Let’s not waste any more time and delve into the juicy details about each of these handsets. [...]
