Upgrade the Motorola Droid 3 to Ice Cream Sandwich via MIUI 4

MIUI 4 has finally landed on the Motorola Droid 3 in the shape of a port of MIUI 4 for the Droid 2. Thanks to XDA Developers member techno-update, Droid 3 users can finally enjoy this ROM on their devices.

For those of you who are not familiar with the ROM, MIUI is famous for its distinct and unique user interface, with the option to customize it even further with fan-made themes. It’s one of the most popular Android ROMs in the world, based on Android 2.3 and 4.0 and featuring a better experience and richer themes.

Flash MIUI 4 Ice Cream Sandwich on Motorola Droid Razr XT912 and Razr XT910

MIUI 4 ROMs remain popular these days, especially with new supported devices being added to the list. Thanks to the brilliant guys at XDA Developers, users of the Motorola Droid RAZR XT912 and the Motorola RAZR XT910 can now experience Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) via unofficial MIUI 4 for the said Motorola handsets.

The new unofficial MIUI 4 ROM for the RAZR promises tons of exciting features that are not present in other ICS-based ROMs. For starters, MIUI features a beautiful user interface, extensive customization on themes, and full control of customization with regards to the homescreen and interface.

Install MIUI NMR4 on HTC Desire

The HTC Desire might have been around for a while already, but development for it is still going strong. A new MIUI port has been released for this Android device, based on the CyanogenMod 9 source powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

This release, the MIUI NMR4 custom ROM, has been ported from MIUI AU v4. Unfortunately, many of MIUI AU 4’s bugs were also carried onto this port, but the developers have added a number of tweaks, additional apps, scripts and settings as well.

Upgrade Samsung Fascinate to Ice Cream Sandwich with MIUI 4

Quite a lot of ICS-based MIUI 4 custom ROMs for several devices have been released recently, and for sure a lot of people are rushing to get the updates for their devices. The frenzy is yet to end, and it’s the Samsung Fascinate’s turn to be filled with some Ice Cream Sandwich through MIUI 4, thanks to the XDA member weblexa.

The ROM is still a pre-alpha build, which means that a lot of kinks still need to be ironed out. Since it’s still an early build, it’s not yet very functional–for the meantime.  According to the developer, the following are still not working as of the moment:

Upgrade Motorola Atrix 4G to Ice Cream Sandwich Via Unofficial MIUI 4

We’ve already heard of the news rolling out that the Motorola Atrix 4G won’t be receiving Ice Cream Sandwich anytime soon. But, word has come out that the Atrix 4G is getting some developer love with a brand-new unofficial MIUI 4 port for the device.

This unofficial MIUI 4 port for the Motorola Atrix 4G may yet be the best alternative that you could have while waiting for the official update from Motorola. As you may already know, MIUI 4 is based on CyanogenMod 9 source.  MIUI 4 is loaded with a heavily themed UI with tons of customization and various options exclusive to the ROM that is not normally present on stock ROMs.

Quite a lot of MIUI ROMs based on ICS were recently released for various devices and still other users are craving for more. Ice Cream Sandwich is definitely selling like hotcakes and many people are crossing their fingers hoping that their device will be the next one to be filled with this tasty OS.
