Meizu have made a name for themselves in China, and their quality and powerful devices are starting to be acknowledged by the West, too, which means that it might not be long until they start selling them to Europe and US, as well.
The dual core Meizu MX is already featuring a dual core Exynos chip from Samsung, and according to other rumors there will be a quad core Galaxy S3 that would feature the Exynos 4412 (based on Cortex A9). That means that it’s also possible that the next Meizu MX will come with that chip as well.

With Google set to release Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich soon, original design manufacturers (ODM) like Huawei, Meizu, and other second tier companies are in a rush to bring the latest Android updates to their respective devices to the global market.
Recently, Meizu CEO Jack Wong has confirmed that the Meizu M9 and the upcoming Meizu MX will get the latest updates:

Although NVIDIA vowed to release the first Android tablets loaded with the quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 Kal-El processor before this year is over, China-based company Meizu may beat NVIDIA to releasing what may possibly be the world’s first quad-core Android smartphones.
Meizu announced on the Meizu forums that two variants of the upcoming Meizu MX smartphones will be released in China some time late this month.
