This morning Verizon announced that we can get our hands on the LG Spectrum at Verizon stores for just $199 on a 2-year contract. The LG Spectrum is 4.5-inch HD 720p display of beauty, packing a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM for all your multi-tasking needs. The Spectrum also comes with a 16GB Micro SD Card pre-installed, along with a 8MP camera on the back and a 1.3MP on the front for all your video chatting needs. Oh and it has a hotspot that can connect 10 devices on 4G LTE.

Yesterday at CES 2012 I had the chance to take a look at the LG Spectrum for Verizon Wireless. Let me tell you this handset is set for success from a spec list stand point, the LG Spectrum is coming packed with a 4.5 measured screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 making the display look absolutely beautiful, 4G LTE connectivity, 8MP camera with LED flash capable of 1080p video recording, a 1.3 MP camera on the front, running 2.3.5 Gingerbread behind LG’s custom UI, all of this powered by a massively fast 1.5 GHZ Snapdragon processor!

Yet another Android phone launching on Verizon, no surprise there right? Well let’s take a quick look at the new offering by LG and Verizon. The LG Spectrum is of course running Android – pretty sure its Gingberbread no confirmation on that yet – has a 1.3MP front-facing camera with a 8MP camera on the back.
