by: Elmer MontejoJuly 31, 2011

An internal memo allegedly from Radio Shack announced a new release date of August 21 for the LG Thrill 4G because of “a launch delay from AT&T.” The LG Thrill 4G is supposed to be launched this coming August 7.

The memo also states that Radio Shack will continue to accept preorders for the LG Thrill 4G until August 15. An accompanying purchase of a Radio Shack Gift Card worth US$50 is required for handset reservations. Those who have made earlier reservations for the LG Thrill 4G will still have a handset reserved for them for store pick-up on August 21.

The LG Thrill 4G, also known as the LG Optimus 3D, has been touted as AT&T’s [...]

Optimus 3D Receives A Gaming Boost From Gameloft

by: Aerol BibatJuly 8, 2011

When we think of computer gaming, phones aren’t usually the first things to come to mind – the disastrous Nokia NGage is an exception. It is only nowadays that we see a real flowering of gaming on phones. This is mostly because of the arrival of powerful and small CPUs that currently back the latest generation of smart phones. 3D is also another thing we do not associate with mobile phones. But LG recently succeeded in delivering the 3D experience on phones with LG Optimus 3D – all without the stereotypical glasses.

Now, LG is all set to breach the gaming barrier with a little help from Gameloft.

Gameloft is quite proficient in the gaming [...]

LG Optimus 3D To Launch In The UK Soon

by: Aerol BibatJune 15, 2011

LG has been pretty quiet about the Optimus 3D for awhile now. The last that we heard of this hands-free smartphone was when LG announced it back at the Mobile World Congress. However, its time to get our hopes back back up, because Amazon UK has recently put up a pre-order page with a release date for it.

The listing on Amazon puts the UK release for the Optimus 3D next week, specifically June 20. That’s pretty close. However, don’t go and gallivant off to Amazon UK just yet. The e-retailer has the pre-order through KingofGadgets and it may be a little steep for some people. The current price tag for LG’s latest baby is at £600 – which in [...]
