Don’t hold your breath for LG’s D1L, it turns out to be the LG Optimus LTE 2

by: Bams SadewoJune 20, 2012

Back when specs of the Samsung Galaxy S3 were still as mythical as unicorns, we reported a couple times how LG was preparing a super phone of its own to compete with the Galaxy S3 – complete with its own wireless charging solution. Dubbed as the LG D1L, the phone was to come with a 4.7-inch display of 1280 x 720 resolution, a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Where’s the LG D1L now?

Scouring the web to look for more information on the LG D1L will only lead you nowhere, because The Verge has received confirmation from the Korean company that the LG D1L is none other than the recently launched –in Korea, at least [...]

LG’s superphone D1L to feature built-in wireless charging to compete with Galaxy S3

Codenamed D1L, LG’s flagship should come with a 4.7-inch LCD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Today a fresh rumor points towards an additional and exciting [...]

by: Mike AndriciApril 9, 2012

Previously today, we’ve talked about LG’s plans to develop a “thinking smartphone”, a very interesting endeavor that aims to put the South Korean smartphone manufacturer above local rival Samsung (as well as other major manufacturers around the globe). But, as the thinking smartphone is probably at least a couple of years from entering production, it does make a lot of sense for LG to prepare for a much more imminent threat posed to its already modest sales, namely the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3.

Unfortunately, all we have at this point are a bunch of rumored specs for the Galaxy S3. But I’m sure a lot of our regular readers have figured it out by now that none of the [...]
