Lenovo IdeaTab A2109 Review [video]

by: Kristofer WoukNovember 5, 2012
A while ago, we reviewed the Lenovo IdeaTab S2110, which was more or less Lenovo's answer to the Asus Transformer series. Now, we're taking a look at the Lenovo IdeaTab A2109, which seems to be their answer to the Nexus 7, but with a larger 9-inch screen. Is the similarly spec'd Lenovo IdeaTab A2109 a solid alternative to Google's Nexus 7, or is it too little too late?

Lenovo makes the 9-inch IdeaTab A2109 official, already up for sale for $300

by: AdrianAugust 30, 2012
Sporting a 9-inch LED display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, the A2109 looks like it could fit nicely in that gap between mid-range and high-end tablets. The panel is certainly not stunning, but the 9-incher is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 proc that makes it an above average gadget for gaming and multimedia playing.

Lenovo to launch IdeaTab A2105, A2107 and A2109 in September, pricing and spec sheets unknown

Usually, when we first hear about an unreleased smartphone or tablet that is “set to come soon”, it happens through leaks that unveil at least part of the gadget’s spec sheet, while leaving its official branding and ETA to mystery.

Lenovo has decided to break this “tradition”, however, and has made three of its future gadgets official, way ahead of their public release, without letting much slip about their spec sheets. The IdeaTab A2105, A2107 and A2109 form an intriguing tablet trio that will hit the market sometime in September. Let’s see what we know about each of these gadgets and why you should be interested in them.
