The Kobo Arc has officially arrived in the United Kingdom and Canada today, and will come to France on Monday. Pricing for the 7-inch Kobo tablet starts at $199.99 for the 16GB model.

If you’re getting anxious about Kobo sticking to its November release date for the Arc, you can rest easier knowing that the 7-incher has finally hit FCC.

After announcing the Kobo Arc just weeks ago, Kobo has made some changes to its plans, dropping the 8GB version of the Arc entirely, and cutting the prices on the rest of the line of 7-inch tablets.

Kobo unveils Arc 7-inch tablet, to be released in November for $200

The Kobo Arc seems doomed for failure even before its actual launch due to the heavy competition in the 7-inch tablet niche, which is unfortunate considering its not-too-bad spec sheet. The Arc is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4470 processor and also comes with 1 GB of RAM.
