by: Chris SmithAugust 22, 2012

The hottest Android handset in town, the Galaxy S3, is about to receive the latest Android version, Jelly Bean, in the near future. We have seen rumors that suggested the device will get Android 4.1.1 in the third quarter of the year, only to be followed by new reports offering a more specific roll out date, August 29.

We then saw a bunch of Jelly Bean test firmware leak for the Galaxy S3, alongside proper installation instructions and we figured it was only a matter of time until Samsung and its carrier partners released the update.

Now we hear, via Android Central, that the August 29 roll out date for the Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean ROM [...]

After being officially launched in the U.S., UK, Canada and Australia, the Nexus 7 is getting ready to descend in Europe starting with France, where the tablet will arrive on September 3, according to available information.

The news comes from TechCrunch, which gathered [...]

The Galaxy S3 will most likely get to taste Jelly Bean goodness the first, in only a matter of weeks, which should not come as a big surprise. What might be surprising however is when Samsung is planning to upgrade the first-generation Galaxy Note and the GS2 to Android 4.1, too.
