by: SamSeptember 5, 2012
Over on XDA Developers, a user named "Football" has posted a test only build of Jelly Bean for the HTC One X, identified as 3.00.999.7 with a large 641MB download size. As this is still an unstable build, non-developers might want to steer clear and wait for the official version instead. But if you're the adventurous type, we have the download link.

Google Now gets even better, adds public service announcements and more

by: Andrew GrushAugust 31, 2012
Google Now might be in its infancy, but it's still a really useful part of Google Search. Now it's getting even better with a new update to Google Search in the Google Play store. Jelly Bean users now get a few cool new functions added to the Google Now experience. One of these changes has to do with movie showtimes. Google Now will populate information on the movie that you search for, such as where it's playing and at what times, it can even send you alerts if you are near a specific theater. Another similar feature comes to sports, you can now manually select your favorite sports team and a card will be updated with information about the team, updating in real-time. Last but not [...]

Black Galaxy S3 LTE with Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean spotted at IFA 2012 [video]

by: Chris SmithAugust 31, 2012

A couple of days ago we told you that Samsung confirmed at IFA 2012 that the Galaxy S3, alongside the Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy Note, will receive their Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean updates “very soon,” without specifying any roll out date.

Previous rumors have led us to believe that the international Galaxy S3 LTE version will be the first to run Jelly Bean and it looks like an unexpected report from Germany confirms it.

The short video below has been recorded at Vodafone’s booth, where a Black Galaxy S3 model has been spotted running Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. The model will apparently be available in the region in the near future and [...]

HBO Go now runs on Nexus 7 and other Jelly Bean devices

by: Bams SadewoAugust 31, 2012
The HBO Go is the perfect app for those who need to have access to the network’s original series wherever they are. We last reported about the tablet support that HBO has added for the Android app back in July, but it still didn’t support devices running Jelly Bean, the Nexus 7 included. Owners of the tablet now have a reason to be cheerful about.

When you own an Android device, you are assured of performing functions with much ease and convenience. That is one advantage of owning a very capable gadget, such as a tablet or a smartphone, all the more when the OS your device is running on is no other than Android.

With the launch of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, people have been very much eager and excited to try out the features that this OS has. Verizon Galaxy Nexus Jelly Bean upgrade coming up as JRO03O update?

by: Chris SmithAugust 29, 2012

Yes, the Galaxy Nexus is a Nexus device that should receive all Android upgrades almost immediately after Google releases a new version. But no, that doesn’t happen with all Galaxy Nexus versions out there, and we specifically mean Verizon and Sprint, as carriers have their own not-so-hidden agendas when it comes to releasing such updates in a timely manner.

While there’s absolutely no official confirmation that the Verizon Galaxy Nexus Android 4.1 Jelly Bean build is ready to roll out, we can tell you that at least one user is apparently getting it as a build JRO03O, a 146.6MB download, which could be the highly anticipated Jelly Bean [...]
