Ingress, Google’s cult hit augmented reality game for Android, received a significant July 2 update that should universally please.
Ingress, the popular augmented reality Android game, has been updated to version 1.26 with notifications for certain actions and other features. Read on for more details!
The game is currently in closed beta, so this is a rare treat for those attendees who don’t yet have their pass. As you can see below, the events take place after hours, with one coinciding with the After Hours Party on the 15th.

Wish there were more Ingress players in your area? Google’s Niantic Labs has announced that level 6 or higher players will now be able to invite one lucky new player to the game.
Ingress, that cult-popular product released by Google’s Niantic Labs, could quite possibly be its most desired. Invitations are highly prized, as the game is still in beta testing. The surprise hit has the team at Niantic working diligently to not only satisfy those who are already playing, but get it ready for the rest of us.
Google wants you to think Ingress is just a game, that it is nothing more than something you play to pass the time away, but it is so much more than that – It’s an e-book, too! Or at least it will be soon.
