A new day, a new set of Huawei Ascend P2-related leaks. After seeing the upcoming beast wave to the public in a couple of unofficial photos less than 24 hours ago, it’s time for a second date with Mr. Blurrycam.
Huawei has had a very strong CES showing last month, grabbing the headlines with both the Ascend D2 and Ascend Mate, but that doesn’t mean the company’s not holding some aces up its sleeve for February’s MWC as well.
Huawei has been one of the most active players in the Android community these first weeks of 2013, including during CES. Nothing out of the ordinary there, but unlike before we’ve talked more about high-end devices from the Chinese than cheap low-enders.
US Cellular has recently released another budget-friendly Android smartphone. The device is the Huawei Ascend Y and at the moment, it can be purchased on-contract for one penny, or off-contract for just $99.99.
That’s right Huawei now has the world’s thinnest smartphone, but where CES hasn’t officially started yet I am sure there will be more thinner ones. Huawei this morning announced the Ascend P1 S and the Ascend P1. The P1 S is the thinnest, most likely for GSM markets. While the P1 is a bit thicker most likely an LTE phone.
