HTC One Series to Launch in April, Shows Off Camera Quality [Updated]

by: Bams SadewoMarch 5, 2012

[Update: Corrected One S availability information, and added details about One V. Thank you, Nicolas]

The new HTC One series is part of HTC’s strategy to simplify the branding (and naming convention) of all its Android smartphones. Following a very successful showcase at Mobile World Congress 2012 at the end of February, all eyes are now on HTC to announce the release date of its three new One smartphones – the HTC One X, One S, and One V.

Digitimes reported that HTC plans to ship the One series in March, with an initial shipment target of 400,000 units per month.  While there’s no specific worldwide release date yet, the company is aiming to have the [...]

Beats Audio – What’s All the Fuss About?

by: Bogdan PetrovanMarch 5, 2012

As you may know, in August 2011, HTC bought the majority ownership of Beats Electronics, the company that makes the favorite high-end headphones of Dr. Dre, Lady Gaga, and a bunch of other celebrities. Beats Electronics’ business model is simple – create product, get rapper/basketball player/movie-star endorsement, sell like crazy. HTC One X and HTC One S Specs Leaked Before Big Announcement

by: Bogdan PetrovanFebruary 26, 2012

HTC plans to announce something exciting at MWC today – the long rumored HTC One X and HTC One S, also known as Endeavor and Ville, respectively. In fact, the Taiwanese have been literally counting the days to their Sunday announcement. But, as it so often happens, somebody had to come along and ruin the fun for HTC.

Yesterday, Marco Polo, an Italian shopping site, briefly listed One X and One S for sale, complete with specifications and images. Actually, as The Verge reports, the two devices were posted under their previous circulated codenames, Endeavor and Ville, which adds to the confusion that built up over the last weeks.

But the cherry on top comes from a [...]

HTC Rebrands Devices as One S and X, Launching at MWC

by: Christine TorralbaFebruary 16, 2012

With the Mobile World Congress a mere 10 days away, we’re getting excited to look at the new stuff we’ll be seeing at Barcelona!

One of the things we’re looking forward to is HTC and the devices which will be part of its new series called ‘One’ which was earlier reported by SlashGear. According to them, the HTC Ville will be launched under a different name; which will be the HTC One S. Another report made by PocketNow talks about how the smartphone manufacturer has rebranded the high-end, quad-core HTC Endeavor into the HTC One X.

There’s nothing to worry about though—these two devices are still the same even though their names have been changed. They still have [...]
