HTC’s long rumored 5-inch 1080p phablet has turned from sweet dream to orgasmic reality last week, but we still don’t know when to expect the beast to see the light of day outside Japan.
A few days ago we showed you what appeared to be the first images of Verizon’s HTC J Butterfly version, dubbed as HTC DLX or Deluxe or Droid Incredible X. Now we have a new report out there that seems to suggest a different name for the device.
The 5-inch HTC J Butterfly smartphone has been recently unveiled in Japan, but the phablet contender will soon arrive in other markets as well. In fact, we’ve known for a while that the handset was heading to the U.S. via Verizon, and we have more pictures of the smartphone to prove it.
Anonymous Twitter user @Football4PDA, who has proven to be a reliable source of information in the past, is reporting that HTC is going to launch an Android 4.1.2 device called the “DLX”. Said phone will reportedly have a 5 inch 1080p display, it’ll make use of Qualcomm’s ultra powerful quad core Snapdragon S4 chip, and it’ll have a 12 megapixel rear facing camera.
