What traits must a tablet possess in order to earn the title of “the best Android tablet?” Is it hardware? A quad-core CPU, or a large, high-resolution display that bedazzles your eyes? Or how about a rock bottom price? Or, is it software like Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and a slim-easy to use overlay? Do you enjoy a device with superb build quality and top-notch materials?
No matter which trait you stand by, the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T is sure to tickle your fancy.
Amidst the release of their Google flagship Nexus 7 (an excellent device), Asus has taken the time to craft one of the absolute best tablets I’ve ever had the [...]
When it comes to manufacturing high quality tablet devices, Asus doesn’t cut corners. From build quality, to hardware and software, Asus tends to hit the nail on the head when creating tablets. Their recent onslaught of devices have all been well received by almost everyone who’s had a chance to use them. I had the pleasure of receiving the Transformer Pad TF300T, which is basically the TF201 Prime’s little brother.
But, make no mistake, the TF300T holds it’s own against any competitor, thanks to an impressive arsenal of specs, software, and accessories.Hardware
The TF300T is no underdog. In fact, it’s packing the specs to compete [...]
T-Mobile has had it tough over the last couple of years, culminating into a failed takeover bid by mobile networking giant AT&T.
The No. 4 network carrier in the US has since jumped on the LTE bandwagon, while also attempting an image re-branding and focusing on its fast 42MBps HSPA+ network, until the LTE network is ready to roll out in 2013. Strategic marketing aside, the best way to get back into the consumers’ good graces is to provide devices and plans that users actually want.
With this in mind, T-Mobile has added and will continue to add some hugely popular [...]
For those who simply can’t get enough of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 10.1, here’s another video showing the tablet and its accompanying S-Pen in action. We’re trying hard to decipher what’s being said on the video, oh wait, there is none – except for the loud music at the beginning. So you’ll have to make do with a silent demonstration.
Unfortunately, there’s little information that we can deduct from the video: we know that the S-Pen can be fitted inside the Galaxy Note 10.1 and how Samsung has decided to go with an HD resolution, something that even Acer has recently bested with the Iconia A700.
But hold up, did we just see a working dialer on the [...]
Dual-SIM phones have been around since the early 2000s, so they aren’t really anything out of the ordinary these days. But when a dual-SIM device is being released by a major manufacturer such as HTC (or Sony, for that matter), it’s certainly something to behold, at least for a while.
Below you’ll find some hands-on pictures of the dual-SIM HTC Desire V, as posted by CNET Asia, along with their brief impression of the phone.
First, here’s a quick reminder about the HTC Desire V’s specs. The phone comes with a 4-inch WVGA display, 1GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A processor, enhanced Adreno 200 GPU, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, 5MP rear camera with LED [...]
LG may not be the world’s best-known smartphone maker or the largest maker of smartphones in the world, like their co-nationals Samsung, but the Koreans are, nevertheless, a force to be reckoned with.
First off, the phone maker has passed through a long period of lackluster evolution, marked by mediocre products and a dwindling mindshare. But now, all signs indicate that LG is back with a vengeance. And for those in the know – LG has been making major waves in their display division, and is producing what many consider to be some of the finest displays available to date.
Over the past several months, LG has scored a number of important wins. It [...]

Last week, when ASUS teased the “next transformations” that would be showcased at Computex 2012, very few people expected what was finally revealed by ASUS, the Transformer AiO. The dual OS device featuring Android 4.0 and Windows 8 works as an all-in-one PC as well a tablet. Very impressively, it allows a simple transition between the two – switching between OSs is as simple pushing a button.
Here’s a video of Darcy’s hands-on with the ASUS [...]
