by: J. Angelo RacomaNovember 7, 2012
The unimaginable has happened. Google went offline shortly this November 6th. Actually, Google does experience limited outages one time or another, although given Google's reputation as a big technology company, this kind of thing is usually considered unthinkable by users. Can't access your Gmail for just five minutes, and you're probably pissed. What more if Google searches or other services don't work?

by: Alvin YbañezAugust 15, 2012

If you are a keen observer, you might notice that almost all Google apps have a white background or a light-colored interface. This is true on the Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000, as well as on other Android phones.

The white background, the black text, and a few bright colors allow the apps to display a simple design which is easy on the eyes. Speaking out of curiosity, how would the Google apps look if we inverted their color into a dark theme?

Not all curiosity can kill but it lets you create something new and interesting. XDA Developers member xlory certainly did the latter. He inverted the colors of the Google Apps and created a nice dark-themed interface for the [...]

by: Chris SmithJune 4, 2012

Google is getting ready to host a new special event with only a few weeks to go until its annual Google I/O developers conference kicks off. The Search giant has issued press invites for a media event scheduled for June 6 during which the company will unveil the future of Google Maps, or, in its own words, “the next dimension” of its mapping tool.
