MOGA Bluetooth gaming controller set to drop soon

by: nathanSeptember 24, 2012
Gaming and Android have become good buddies lately. On tap this year, we have OUYA and XBMC. We've also seen the likes of Ringbow, DRONE and Gameklip. People like games, but they don't always prefer to use the touch controls on their phone for hours on end. Thumb cramps anyone? This is the niche where the MOGA bluetooth controller sits nicely.

Wikipad gaming tablet up for pre-order at GameStop, to start selling on October 31 for $499

Although it looked like vaporware back at the CES in January, when it was unveiled for the first time, it seems like the WikiPad Android gaming tablet, is in fact, as real as they come and is gearing up for an imminent release.

However, the 8-incher from back then has undergone a bunch of serious changes, both cosmetic and technical, some of them making it far more intriguing.

First off, the Wikipad tablet/gaming console is an 8-incher no more and will come with a more generous 10.1-inch IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. Even though we welcome the bump in the screen’s [...]

Nyko unveils PlayPad Android gaming controllers, to be released in the fall

by: AdrianJune 5, 2012

If there’s one area where Android-based gadgets still need work in order to satisfy their ever growing fan community, it’s certainly gaming. While many high-end smartphones and tablets are now powered by snappy processors and come with GPUs that support heavy gaming, the experience is not exactly all it could be due mostly to the touchscreens’ limitations.

You can’t, however, come up with gadgets featuring gaming controllers by default, because that way you’ll seriously increase bulk and forget all about portability. What you can do, though, is work with gaming accessory manufacturers and launch controllers designed with Android devices in mind and supporting Google’s [...]
