Verizon Charging Extra $2 for Online and Over-the-phone payment Starting January 15

by: Will G.December 29, 2011

Indeed, it has been a great holiday season for many of us. New phones such as the Galaxy Nexus and Droid Razr have been wrapped in gift boxes, as well as new accessories. So many new things are changing.

Starting January 15, even more new lifestyles will be set. However, it is not the “nice” kind of change we are accustomed to. Verizon, once again, will be squeezing out more money from consumers who decide to pay over the phone or through online payment

Now, isn’t this a little ridiculous? Big Red claims that it will help the company “support the payment methods.” Well, obviously it isn’t support towards the customers of Verizon, and what happened to [...]

Droid RAZR MAXX Shows Up In Verizon’s Inventory

by: Matthew SabatiniDecember 21, 2011

Just days after the Motorola Droid RAZR was released on Verizon, rumors started to surface about variants of the device. By itself, the RAZR is easily one of the most powerful devices on the market today. Therefore, these variants could push the device over the edge if they get an Ice Cream Sandwich update as well. In addition to the standard Droid RAZR, the white version has already made its way into the market. Furthermore, we began hearing rumors of a Droid 4 not long ago. This device would pack a 1.2GHz dual core processor, a 1GB DDR2 RAM, a 1785 mAh battery and a 4″ qHD display. The Droid 4 could be coming out as early as the 22nd of December. Finally, the Droid [...]

How to Unroot Your Motorola Droid Razr

by: Paul NuñalDecember 15, 2011

Android users who have rooted their Droid Razr can now unroot their device. In this tutorial, you will learn how to unroot your Droid Razr and revert it to its unrooted state.

Unrooting your Droid Razr can be done easily. The best part of unrooting your Droid Razr is that it can be done in just a matter of seconds, thanks to the one-click script created by DooMLord, the famous developer behind the famous zergRush exploits that helped many Android users in successfully rooting their devices.

It is important to know that when you first rooted your Droid Razr, it was most likely actually using one of DooMLord’s rooting scripts. Using anything other than the [...]

Motorola Droid Razr vs Samsung Focus S

by: Paul NuñalDecember 15, 2011

Definitely a keeper, the Droid Razr has been topping the charts for quite a while now, and if you think that the market is flooded with Android phones with similar functionalities and features, the door is open for you to try the Samsung Focus S as well. With the holidays just around the corner, this could be the time for you to make that switch to Windows 7.5 Mango OS or stick to the ever-growing Android.

These two phones come from two different worlds, but we’ll take a closer inspection on what makes each phone different from the other.

Design and Display

The Droid Razr is covered in Gorilla Glass from head to toe, with a black matte Kevlar protection at [...]

Droid Razr MotoCast vs Galaxy S2 AllShare vs iPhone 4S AirPlay

by: Carl ParkerDecember 15, 2011

The year 2011 was really a rich year with better, stronger, and faster smartphones coming out. But, it didn’t stop at the phone specs. Samsung, Apple, and Motorola each took a step further and brought their own file streaming apps. What this means is that you could stream media back and forth between your phone and your HDTV, your laptop, or your PC.

In the Samsung Galaxy S2, you’ve got AllShare. On the iPhone 4S, you have Airplay. On the Motorola Droid RAZR, MotoCast is the way. Although similar in function, not all these apps are the same.

The Motorola Droid RAZR’s Motocast is pre-installed and all it needs is a [...]

HTC Sensation XE vs Motorola Droid RAZR

by: Carl ParkerDecember 14, 2011

The year 2011 seemed to have a theme, and it was all about updating older phones to keep up with the times. The HTC Sensation XE is the new face of the HTC Sensation, now with Beats by Dr. Dre, a pair of headphones, and a few improvements over the original. The Motorola RAZR, on the other hand, had more than just a few improvements. It now packs a camera, GPS, WiFi, and 3G. Last, but not the least, it’s now an Android smartphone, and carries Verizon’s DROID branding.

Let’s see how these two fare.

Design and Display

The HTC Sensation XE is equipped with a 4.3-inch display and S-LCD capacitive touchscreen, which allows for multitouch input. The [...]

LG Spectrum for Verizon Poses for the Camera

by: Matthew SabatiniDecember 14, 2011

Although it is not the prettiest leaked photo, the LG Spectrum has finally made an appearance. More specifically, you can clearly tell that it will not be packing Ice Cream Sandwich right out of the box and will be a Verizon 4G LTE phone instead. In addition, it will be similar to the Nitro HD. Actually, they are more like twins, just on two different networks (Nitro HD is on AT&T). Pocket now reports that the LG Spectrum will be packing a killer 1.5GHz dual-core processor as well as a high-definition display running at 720p and an 8MP rear camera.

What looks to be just a Verizon branded Nitro HD might also just be LG’s way of trying to [...]

Motorola Droid RAZR in White, Finally in Verizon

by: Matthew SabatiniDecember 6, 2011

Well folks, it looks like the Droid RAZR just got a little bit sexier, if thats possible at all. The Motorola Droid RAZR offers speed and an amazing design while maintaining an incredibly thin design and “Kevlar” strength. However, the only thing this phone could not offer, besides Ice Cream Sandwich, was a white body. However, both Motorola and Verizon announced earlier today that the

“DROID RAZR in white will be available in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and online at this month for $299.99 with a new two-year customer agreement. Customers that purchase a DROID RAZR will need to subscribe to a Verizon Wireless [...]

Motorola Droid 4 Gets a Release Date, Xyboard and Nexus Too

by: Christine TorralbaDecember 6, 2011

Thinking about it, it’s been a while since we’ve seen a full QWERTY keyboard on a high-end Android device. Even though there are still several keyboard equipped phones being released to the public, it is very rare that they achieve flagship characteristics. This is why Motorola has held the reigning title for flagship devices that contain a full keyboard ever since the release of the original Droid.

Yet again, the title has been revised with the release of the most recent Motorola Droid 4. In an effort to stay true to its tradition, it contains the same features that have made the brand famous. Despite the lack of information on the full specs of the new Droid, we can [...]
