Droid RAZR MAXX will be available on January 26th

by: AlexanderJanuary 13, 2012

Some great news for all you fans of the Droid RAZR, we’ve got a release date according to Motorola’s website for the newest member of the Droid Family. The Droid RAZR MAXX will be available on January 26th. The price on contract will be $299, which is the normal price for 4G LTE flagship devices on Verizon at this point.

For those of you not family with the Droid RAZR MAXX, where have you been? The Droid RAZR MAXX has all the cool features of the original Droid RAZR but it adds a massive 3300mAh battery which does make the phone a bit thicker, but it’s still incredibly thin for having an extended battery inside it. Remember you can’t remove the [...]

Droid 4 vs. Droid Razr Maxx

by: Brandon SobottaJanuary 12, 2012

Two of Motorola’s big announcements at CES 2012 were the Droid 4 (D4) and the Droid Razr Maxx (DRM).  These two phones are similar in many aspects, but they are separated by one key factor: the keyboard. Without looking at any other features of these phones, this can be the ultimate decision maker for many. But if your looking beyond this, there are some other differences that may sway you one way or the other when deciding which to buy (these I will cover below).

The Specs Cpu and GPU Processors/Ram

The D4 and the DRM each have the TI OMAP 4430 CPU clocked at 1.2 ghz, and a PowerVR SGX540 GPU.  Neither phone is running any hardware or software that is much different [...]

Leaked Verizon Price Map shows Droid 4 for $249

by: AlexanderJanuary 11, 2012

Yesterday Verizon and Motorola finally put an end to the many rumors we have seen and heard about the Droid 4. Announcing it along with the Droid Razr Maxx, and the Droid Razr coming in purple. Well this newly leaked price map shows us that the Droid Razr will be dropped down to $199 – not that big of a surprise, and that the Droid 4 will be on sale for $249. The $249 price tag is a bit surprising to me, since almost all of Verizon’s 4G LTE devices have been carrying a $299 price tag, but hey who’s gonna complain about it? I surely won’t be.

The leaked map also has the date as 1/10/12 which of course is the day after it was announced, it is not [...]

Up Close and Personal with Verizon’s Droid Razr Maxx

by: AlexanderJanuary 11, 2012

We had a chance to get up close and personal with Verizon and Motorola’s Droid Razr Maxx. I must say it’s even better then the Droid Razr, while the only main difference is the huge battery that’s in the Droid Razr Maxx, and it’s bump up to 32GB of memory, it’s worth checking out.

The Droid Razr Maxx is still just as thin as the original Droid Razr, but at CES it lost it’s title as the world’s thinnest smartphone. But we knew that was going to happen at CES didn’t we? We’ve got tons of pictures for you down below, to admire until it official launches on big red sometime later this year. It will launch at $299 on Verizon [...]
