Motorola CHARM for T-Mobile USA arrives

The Motorola Charm for T-Mobile USA arrived this morning, and Michael has already started putting together a video tour of the device that should be published in the next day or two. A full review is coming, as well. The Charm features a QVGA res touchscreen display and a full QWERTY keyboard in a bar shaped form factor. It sports a 3.0 megapixel camera and ships with both standard and extended batteries, with matching rear covers, in the box. Pretty sweet.
T-Mobile to offer Motorola Charm on August 25

T-Mobile USA just announced, via its Twitter account, that the Motorola Charm Android smartphone will be available starting on August 25. The device has been delayed for a while, but we figured it would be coming soon since it was just made available for Telus in Canada. It’s almost time! Get the affordable @Motorola CHARM, our latest Android smartphone w/ touch screen + QWERTY, August 25! You can read more about the device on T-Mobile’s website.
End of year road-map from T-Mobile, leaked

According to a slide published on Android Spin we can expect five additional Android based devices for T-Mobile later this year. These are on top of the Motorola Charm and Samsung Vibrant. From studying the slide it appears as though the Motorola Cliq and Cliq XT could receive an update this summer around August, but we currently have no official word on whether this is the case. Indeed, the Motorola Charm is only shipping with Android 2.1, so it too would be due an upgrade, possibly in September. Also around this time we can say hello to a HTC device …

Motorola this morning officially unveiled the CHARM, another MOTOBLUR device for T-Mobile USA. This time, however, the phone is running Android 2.1 and sports a new form factor. While Moto and T-Mobile have not announced pricing, and have only said that it is expected to be available “this summer,” we expect the phone to come in at a low price point for an Android smartphone due to its component selection.
