Teknision has released version 2.0 of Chameleon Launcher, a major update that promises support for Android smartphones and an overall better experience for users.

When Chameleon version 1 hit Google Play a couple of weeks ago, some users complained about the limited selection of widgets. That is set to change though. The developer behind Chameleon is really firing all cylinders with its steady stream of update of the Android launcher alternative. After releasing build 0.9.0 last week, which was then followed by version 0.9.5 – we finally have an up and running Chameleon V1.0.
Fans of Chameleon Launcher – you shall not be waiting much longer now. With a regular release and update cycle the Chameleon Launcher team have reached their first release candidate build.
This week on Android Authority On Air we came to the realization that following the recent Apple iPhone 5 announcement, this very well could be our last Android based show. The pre-orders are in, we’re moving to iOS! …And then we woke up from that nightmare and realized it was a horrible, horrible lie. The Chameleon Launcher beta updated to version 0.9.0 yesterday. Among other updates, the widget API is now available, allowing developers to start creating widgets for the tablet-only launcher.
