Asus Transformer Prime Launching on January 12th in UK

by: LucianDecember 26, 2011

It seems the Asus Transformer Prime was delayed by at least a month compared to the initial reports that it will be launched on December 9th, then pushed to 19th, and now, at least in UK it was announced that it’s going to be launched on January 12th.

This is quite a delay, and we don’t really know what’s been causing this. When I first heard the Asus CEO that Android 4.0 could launch even by the end of 2011 on Asus Transformer Prime, I immediately thought it would’ve been a better idea to wait until it actually gets Android 4.0 instead of launching it with Android 3.2, get all the reviews like that, and then update it to Android [...]

by: Darcy LaCouveeFebruary 2, 2011

[UPDATE May 5, 2011] Check out our latest amazing spreadsheet that has every single Android Superphone compared!

Here at CES, things are crazy! 2011 is shaping up to be an amazing year for Android Phone enthusiasts all around the world. 4 inch plus screens are going to dominate the market as more and more people will make it their mainstay device. With the Optimus 2X, LG launched the first salvo in the dual-core battle and having a dual-core processor will soon be the standard for high-end mobile devices. We should see a surplus of devices in 2011 which have multi-core processors and this can only be a great thing for consumers.

The GT540 was announced at CES in January, and comes in a number of different colors – including pink.  It runs the Android 2.0 OS, features a 3.5mm headphone jack, and sports an autofocus 3 megapixel camera.

LG LS680 for Sprint to sport Android

by: Michael OrylDecember 28, 2009

The folks at the Boy Genius Report have posted what appears to be a screen capture of a Sprint computer system that lists the LG LS680, which it describes as an Android phone.

I’m already planning to attend the LG and Sprint events at CES in Las Vegas early next month, so here’s hoping that this new LG LS680 is one of the things they plan to unveil.

Dell’s Android tablet to be formally announced at CES 2010?

by: Susan ElleryDecember 10, 2009

Dell Streak (next to the shoe)

Dell’s Android tablet, previously revealed as the Streak, may be formally introduced in January at CES 2010. The Streak features a 5 inch, 800×480 touchscreen, a 5MP camera with dual LED flash, Android 2.0, and a bunch of other goodies including WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity. The Streak is rumored to be launching in the UK sometime in early 2010. Considering that the source of the rumor is based in the UK, only UK information is revealed. Hopefully, Dell has similar launch plans for the US. Any US-based insider care to confirm or deny the Streak’s imminent launch here in the States?

No details about the device have been revealed so far.  The 2009 CES show runs from January 8th through the 11th.
