by: Kristofer WoukDecember 8, 2012
Chances are, when you think of Asus and tablets, you think of their Transformer line, or maybe the Asus-manufactured Google Nexus 7, but its mostly forgotten MeMo line of tablets may be making a comeback.

Asus MeMo 370T gets FCC approval. Is it the Nexus 7 tablet?

by: AdrianMay 30, 2012

Asus showed a prototype of the MeMo 370T tablet back at the CES in January, but ever since then, the company’s officials left us guessing about their plans with the 7-incher. There were rumors that the gadget’s production has been cancelled, while other “sources” told us that we will see the tablet hit the market as the MeMo 370T during the summer. The most trustworthy speculations, however, pointed towards Asus and Google working together on a Nexus Tablet, set to cost under $250 and to be based on the MeMo 370T prototype.

The most recent development on the matter sees Asus’ 7-incher get the FCC’s blessing, which means that the tablet will in fact be released very [...]

NVIDIA reveals Kai: a $199 quad-core tablet project

by: Ankit BanerjeeMay 23, 2012

We’ve seen a slew of low-cost Android 4.0 tablets flooding the market courtesy of some Chinese manufacturers. These devices, that fall in the $100 – $250 price range, are quite impressive in their own right, boasting impressive builds and form factors. The low-cost is thanks to compromises in display resolution, RAM (generally 512MB), cameras, processors (generally single core processors, or 1Ghz dual-core processors). Everything said and done, there is obviously something more attractive about a 1920×1200 display resolution with a 1.5 Ghz quad-core processor. That is, if you can ignore that $600+ price tag.

Will there ever be a way to produce [...]

Hands-On with the ASUS Memo 171 and 370T

by: AlexanderJanuary 14, 2012

Last  but not least we got a chance to play around with ASUS’s pair of Memo tabs, the 171 and 370T at CES this week. For those of us that can’t just throw money at every device that hits the market, the Memo 370T is probably our favorite at this point. It’s a 7-inch, Tegra 3 – Quad-Core tablet with Ice Cream Sandwich that will cost $249, great price right? It’s really thin and perfect size for reading books, playing games and carrying just about anywhere. In contrast the Memo 171 is running on a dual-core snapdragon processor with a 7-inch display.

We’ll definitely be looking forward to these devices when they hit the market, hopefully [...]

Getting To Know The Asus Eee Pad Memo ME370T

by: Anthony PaulJanuary 13, 2012
Asus' Eee Pad MeMO ME370T is now live in the flesh and sporting Android 4.0. A personal hands on of the device showed it to be thin enough, but not ultra slim as some of its counterparts. Its 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with a 1280x800 resolution showed it could hold its own against current tablets of its size.
