We’ve assembled what we think are the best Android tablets of 2012. Also, this post will be updated as more and more tablets start coming to market in 2012. Read on to find out what the best Android …
Back in CES 2012, Acer did not officially talk about their Iconia Tab A510. Even if it was already displayed at the Nvidia booth, there was not much information released on the Android 4.0, Tegra 3-powered tablet. Until today, many have been left in the dark about the Acer 510. During a pre-CeBIT event held in Germany, Acer went into details about their new 10.1-inch tablet. They even gave out a release date and price. The slated date for release will be on April and its price will be €500 (around $500 in the US). But now that the Iconia …

According to some sources, first-tier PC manufacturers Acer and Lenovo are all set to release tablet PCs. What makes these tablet devices special is that they have been on the success of both platforms, Microsoft Windows 8 and Intel Clover Trail. The target launch of these new devices is set to be on the Q3 of 2012. “Intel is set to unveil its Medfield processor, designed specifically for Android-based smartphones and tablet PCs, in the first half of 2012. With CES 2012 just a few days away, it is no longer a surprise to news that has some correlation with it. We’re quite guilty with this too because we can no longer contain our excitement! We’re looking forward to seeing new gadgets pretty soon! One of the gadgets worth mentioning is Acer’s Iconia Tab A700, which we hear, is about to be released on such date. Remember back in the beginning of the month when we talked about the Acer Iconia Tab A200 Got Bluetooth SIG Approval? Well, that 8-10 inch tablet has re-surfaced thanks to Acer themselves. Additionally, the video goes on to show case capturing memories, playing games, and reading e-books. All of this is standard stuff. Although the clip does not reveal too much about the new tab, we can see that vAcer has definitely changed Honeycomb (or Ice …
The A series of Acer’s tablets apparently has a new member joining the flock soon. Known as the Acer Iconia Tab A200, the upcoming Android tablet has been submitted to, and consequently certified by, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) . The Bluetooth standards body has described the A200 on its website, with an image included, as lightweight with a size smaller than a magazine’s. As such, a 10-inch display seems exaggerated, whereas a diagonal measure between 7 to 8.9 inches is more likely. The design is awfully similar to the Galaxy Tab 10.1, with curved edges and a thinner, …
Undoubtedly gaining market share fast, Android will likely overtake its other competitors soon, especially Apple’s iOS platform. This is a belief and expectation that many people share–especially Acer. Speaking to Chinese newspaper United Daily News, Acer founder Stan Shih said that Android would soon prevail over iOS (Apple’s mobile platform). The Apple iPhone, which runs iOS, is one of the most popular devices both in the U.S. and elsewhere. However, Android has started to eat into market shares that iOS used to hold. Shih expects that Apple would soon lose this intense battle of operating systems (OS) in the industry. Shih …

Juicy news has trickled from the grapevine that will definitely excite the enthusiasm of the tablet-inclined. The word’s out Acer are mass-producing a new line of Android tablets for a July release. That’s barely two months away and the choice of using Intel processors is what makes this item so alluring. Important note: Pictured above isn’t the much-talked about Acer tablet, but a representation in lieu of photographic evidence. Contrary to what Paul Otellini may say about Android being “chaotic”, this Intel/Android mash up is being construed as an effort by the chipmaker to establish a beachhead in the tablet …
Today in New York City, Acer held a press event for a range of devices they plan to release in the near future and into next year. There are a couple of interesting tablets to mention, the first of which is a 10.1-inch Android tablet based on a 1GHz processor with Flash 10.1. From studying the picture, it does not appear as though this device is running Google’s ‘tablet friendly’ version of Android yet. Nonetheless, the device will include HDMI output (720p), 1280 x 800 resolution, Acer UI 4.5 and a 5MP rear-facing camera. According to this slide here, there …
