GALAXY-Tab-2-10.1

Released in the United States a little while back, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablet was expected to start shipping in Canada by the end of this month. Future Shop, the only Canadian retailer taking pre-orders for the new 10-incher from Samsung, announced June 22 as a release date, but for some unknown reason you’ll have to wait a bit more to get your hands on it. The new shipping date is July 6, and the bad news doesn’t end here. Future Shop is currently listing a limited number of tablets available, so you might end up waiting even after…

samsung galaxy tab 2 7 inch 10 inch

Although it’s probably not the most impressive feature of the Galaxy S3, the free 50 GB of Dropbox storage should make a lot of users happy, as it pretty much cancels any problems one might ever have with the device’s memory. However, Samsung’s partnership with Dropbox, probably the most popular file hosting service around, seems to not be limited to the new flagship phone. As the below screenshot indicates, newly released Galaxy Tab 2 tablets will also come with 50 GB of Dropbox storage, free of charge, but available for only one year. After the end of the special offer,…

galaxy tab and music all

After the successful launch of the eagerly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3, it’s almost easy to forget that Samsung, the maker of a whole series of tablets and music players, is one of the largest device (among other electronics) manufacturers in the world. The Korean company announced today that the 10.1″ Galaxy Tab 2 and the Galaxy Player 4.2 will go on sale on Sunday, May 13 in the US. Galaxy Tab 2 The Galaxy Tab 2 is dubbed the successor of the original 10.1″ Galaxy Tab slate, but with the impeding arrival of the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, the Tab series…

GALAXY Tab 2 10.1

Samsung has released the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 last month for an almost Kindle Fire-like price of $250 for the 8GB model. Since the Tab 2 7.0 comes with a microSD card slot, the storage shouldn’t put off buyers, given that the tablet does come with a snappy 1GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. But what happened to the bigger Galaxy Tab 2 10.1,  which has been reportedly delayed to receive a quad-core processor upgrade? It seems that the plan to fit the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 with a faster processor has been shelved by…

Asus-Transformer-Pad-300

Have you been eyeing the Asus Transformer Pad 300, wondering when the budget tablet offering from Asus will be available in the US? Better get your wallet out soon, because according to the folks at PC World, they have received confirmation from an Asus spokeswoman that the Transformer Pad 300 will hit retail stores on April 22. Although the price of the Transformer Pad won’t be revealed until April 22, we already have a fair guesstimation of how much the Tegra 3-touting tablet will cost. No less than two online retailers have pegged the tablet’s price at $399 for the…

samsung-galaxy-tab-2

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and 10.1 don’t exactly fit the description of high-end tablets in 2012, as they only offer minimal improvement over their predecessors, if any.  The good news is Samsung has decided to cut the price of the smaller device, even before it hits stores.  The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 will now be priced at $250 with the price of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to remain at $400. This is as good as Christmas for penny-pinching tablet buyers that have initially been put off by the rather exorbitant price of the 7-incher. It was only…

samsung-galaxy-tab-2-QVC

Following in the footsteps of variou Z-list celebrities who sell various products, such as jewelry, clothing, or perfume on TV, Samsung has apparently listed the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 on the infamous QVC home shopping network. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 was briefly available for order on QVC’s website today, until it was taken down just moments ago. We don’t know if someone put the product page up too early, but this clearly fits in with previous reports about the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 series being delayed for the end of the month. One good piece of news…

GALAXY Tab 2 10.1

Recently, we received disappointing news about the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, which has been pushed to late April in the UK, with a worldwide release to follow soon after. The delayed release is most likely because of Samsung’s difficulties in optimizing its TouchWiz interface on Android 4.0, as exemplified by the delayed release of the ICS update for the Galaxy Note. We now have some more information on the imminent arrival of the Tab 2 10.1, courtesy of, surprisingly, Office Depot. Of course, Office Depot probably isn’t the re-seller of choice for Samsung, but they are the first…

tab-2-10-1-3_large_verge_medium_landscape

Last night, Samsung (who will not be holding any press conferences at MWC, apparently) announced the new Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 slate. The new member of the Tab 2 series, which also includes the already introduced Tab 2 7.0, will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but really, is only a slight improvement over the previous-generation 10.1 Tab. No word on the pricing yet, but according to Sammy’s press release, the new Tab 2 10.1 and 7.0 will first be available in the U.K., followed closely by a worldwide launch. How is the new Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 better than…
