I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but T-Mobile customers looking forward to getting their hands on a new Samsung Galaxy S4 are going to have to wait just a little bit longer. Unfortunately, T-Mobile’s online launch of the Galaxy S4 has been delayed for five days, from April 24th until April 29th. So whilst it’s not a huge delay, it’s frustrating to be left waiting while customers on other carriers are enjoying their swanky new handsets.
T-Mobile has issued an official statement, but didn’t comment on exactly what the cause of the problem is, stating only that an unexpected inventory delays are to blame. Here’s the apology issued by T-Mobile:
We know customers are really looking forward to getting their new Samsung Galaxy S 4 soon. However, due to an unexpected delay with inventory deliveries, the Galaxy S 4 will not be available on www.T-Mobile.com as planned on Wednesday, April 24. Instead, online availability is expected to begin on Monday, April 29. We apologize for any inconvenience and are working with Samsung to deliver the device to T-Mobile customers as soon as possible.
On the plus side this should mean that physical retails sales will remain unaffected, so you can still go and grab a Galaxy S4 from your local T-Mobile store on May 1st.
