If there is not an update, then there is no need for me to keep this phone or persuade others to buy one…It’s garbage WITHOUT the updates. Duh! Is this not common sense?

This phone has become a running joke in my office now. To use it for anything other than a phone function you better carry around your charger. A friend suggest I take his old nokia and tape it to the back of the g1 so he can call me again without getting my voicemail. If this update doesn’t come soon and at least diminish this problem then I am done with it. It can sit in my wall cabinet to remind me never to trust t-mo or google again.

I used to ask my friends to get g1 when I first got it, told him how good it was… but, after two month of using it, I feel so embarrassing to let anybody know that I have to carry my charger almost everyday. I was reading the NYT on nyt.moble yesterday, plain text, and about a hour or so, my cell battery down from 85% to 34%. The battery bar turned red the afteroon, I was scared to answer phones on my cell, and I had to called them back from my offices phone.

You all must be retarded. I can use my G1 (call, navigate, surf the web) and be just fine. Now I may have to charge it every other night but that’s fine. Either you guys don’t know how to exersize your battery or you’re just plain retarded. G1 contines to rock and will dominate once Flash is made (thanks to Bsquared) and the ability to save apps directly to the phone ( then we can get the groovy 2tb mini SD card that should arrive soon). And as for an onscreen keyboard… try sms chomp (which supports MMS now) and Open Home (skins, auto-tilt, onscreen key board for search widget) makes the phone more enjoyable.
