Reuters is quoting Hamid Akhavan, CEO of T-Mobile global, as saying that the T-Mobile G1 Android powered smartphone will be available to Dutch, Austrian, and Czech T-Mobile customers by the end of this month – January, 2009.
No word on pricing for those countries, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it were fairly aggressive. T-Mobile Germany is planning to offer it for less than 2 euros with a new two-year contract.
Update: Germany gets the G1 on February 2nd, though German T-Mobile customers can pre-order now. The G1 is available for as little as 1 EUR with an appropriate 24 month contract. (Thanks, Pavliha!)
Update 2: Poland is also getting the G1 according to a T-Mobile International press release.
