Either Samsung Hercules or the HTC Ruby (HTC Amaze 4G)–or both–could possibly be slated for release on T-Mobile on October 15. A leaked timetable has revealed a “major release” scheduled for that day.
TmoNews received last weekend a leaked photo of a timetable allegedly for internal use by T-Mobile employees.
The partial image of the timetable shows portions of the schedule for September and October–and T-Mobile seems to have several upcoming product launches for October, one of which is flagged as a “Major Release.”
The timetable also shows what could possibly be 4 different devices, each one flagged as a “10/19 Device.”
Although the leaked info about the said product release doesn’t say what the device will be, there are rumors that it could be the HTC Ruby (HTC Amaze 4G) or the Samsung Hercules (which is the codename for T-Mobile’s variant of the Samsung Galaxy S II).
An earlier leak pointed to a joint launch of both the Samsung Hercules and the HTC Ruby on October 26. We are unsure whether T-Mobile has moved the release date of either of the two–or both–to October 15. We are not even certain whether the “major release” on October 15 will be an Android device. So, your guess, for now, is as good as ours.
If the “major release” turns out to be the Samsung Hercules, then T-Mobile customers will have one more powerful Android smartphone to consider having. The Samsung Hercules will reportedly sport a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen (800×480 resolution) and a dual-core, 1.5-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
If it turns out to be the HTC Ruby (rumored to be renamed into the HTC Amaze 4G), then T-Mobile customers can expect a 4.3-inch qHD device with a dual-core, 1.5-GHz processor.
Both the Samsung Hercules and the HTC Ruby will reportedly run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
What device do you think will T-Mobile release on October 15?
