1. Download the Mr. Root package to your Windows computer.  It’s in a ZIP file.
2. Extract the ZIP file’s contents into a folder on your Windows computer.
3. Enable USB debugging on your phone by going to Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging.
4. Disable Fastboot from Settings > Power > Fastboot.
5. Connect your phone to your computer via USB cable.
6. When the phone asks for a connection type, specify “Charge only.”
7. Inside the folder on your computer where you extracted the rooting files to, look for the subfolder named “files”.  Inside this folder, double-click the “Root.bat” file.
8. A command prompt window will open.  Choose the appropriate option and follow the instructions.  Your T-Mobile G2 will be rooted in no time.
