SwiftKey can now more accurately predict the next word that you’re going to type in Spanish, French and German.

The language prediction capability of SwiftKey has been enhanced using a neural network-powered AI algorithm. The feature, which was baked into SwiftKey beta in early September, provides a more accurate way of predicting the next words a user is likely to type in. Rather than scanning the previous few words to make suggestions, SwiftKey looks at the whole sentence to provide more relevant recommendations. Microsoft, the parent company of SwiftKey, explains that the neural network works by developing connections that emulate the functioning of a human brain, instead of using a binary model.

The update also adds support for the simultaneous use of up to five languages, up from the previously available three. This feature hit the SwiftKey beta channel in early September.

Support for seven new languages has been added: Sindhi Pakistan, Pashto, Scottish Gaelic, Uyghur, Chuvash, Chechen and Bashkir. And if the keypress popups have been annoying you lately, you now have the option to turn them off. As usual, SwiftKey rolled out a few fixes and enhancements for a smoother typing experience.
